JeremiahBullfrog 04.11.22	Hmm. My problem with 5 is I really can't see how so many can class it as Black Metal rather than it being terrible or something. I don't enjoy it no, it bores me to tears, but I get why someone would like it. Sonically I can't see how it is Black Metal.

Gameofmetal 04.12.22	The idea of free expression of thought is nice, but it just simply has to fall to the wayside when that expression gets people murdered or oppressed. Lot of nazi bands are just larper fucks, and some of the goofy ass ML communist ones too, but some of them are actually involved with groups that kill people. 3 and 4 aren't that hot.
TheSpirit 04.12.22	i don't feel like any of these are hot takes. Maybe 3 is the closest. 6 is a weird take. Conflating fascism and communism feels a bit disingenuous. Nobody is stopping people w/bad ideological stances from participating (b/c a) that's impossible, b) let's be honest, there will always be an audience for it, and c) some ppl who just don't care what they consume) but I do think we have a responsibility to not support or promote it when possible and denounce it when we can.

I'd promote Burzum I reckon, if someone who was just getting into Black metal and bought physical; I'd be like "yo you should get Burzum on vinyl" but would also probs be like "Guys a racist though, just so you know"
