Some 2022 albums that almost went under my radar
Some albums I almost didn’t notice and a song rec for each of them. |
1 | | Spiral Skies Death Is But A Door
A female fronted psychedelic doom band with an old school sound.
Song: While the Devil Is Asleep (https://youtu.be/aNYFoQ68WZE) |
2 | | RZA and DJ Scratch Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater
Just listen to the Champion of Death sample on the title track.

3 | | Collide Notes From the Universe
The Industrial Rock duo still sounds like they are permanently in trance.
Song: Turn Off Your TV (https://youtu.be/3uyLlOieH0Q) |
4 | | Darkher The Buried Storm
This doom folk album is exactly what you think it is. 100% focus on a dark chilling atmosphere.
Song: Lowly Weep (https://youtu.be/PbyCZllj_JU) |
5 | | Sicksense Kings Today
A new Nu Metal/Rap Metal band surrounding Vicky Psarakis from the Agonist. I guess it already seems kinda dated but when you’re looking for new bands in that genre: This is one. Off course you could instead listen to the new Bloodywood album, which uses elements of Indian folk music to create an entirely new sound.
Song: Make Believe (https://youtu.be/-0qa-RgAhEo) |
6 | | Becko You Are (Not) Alone
I really like this nerdy Celldweller guy (Klayton). But for a while I didn’t actively follow his label (FiXT Music). Lately it has been very active though. If you’re looking for a mixture of electronica and rock they have some interesting stuff. Instead of a Becko track I gonna rec you something from Deadric.
Song: Dawnbreaker (https://youtu.be/-8LPXmXlOSQ) |
7 | | Onyx 1993
Kinda neat how they re-interpretated some old songs but over all very meh.
