08.20.22 | try getting a VPN where you can change your region / location? other than that, not entirely sure what you should do beyond piracy. that sucks man, hope you find a solution |

08.20.22 | Man that sucks. If you’re doing everything legal I’m sure there’s some kind of apple support chat you can reach out to. If I was you I’d be doing that and if they can’t fix it probably be asking for a replacement if you’re on contract or have a warranty or something because this seems like a tech issue rather than damage you’ve caused yourself.
I had an iPod years ago which also did the album cover swapping and it was hilarious. I remember having the cover of Mew Frengers for Dre 2001 which was so jarring. I didn’t reach out to any support though because half my library was torrented so it is what it is. |

08.20.22 | I remember my ipod classics doing the album art swapping also. It normally happened on those right before the ipod would quit working for me though lol. Shortly after under the artists section I'd have random artists that I didn't insert that were just random Asian letters/symbols with no music when you clicked them |

08.20.22 | Side note to begin: your username seems very fitting here.
But yeah, this is the dystopian nightmare of having all media be digital--being at the mercy of a corporation's whim in wiping out things you own or deleting them from storefronts (not to mention, aggressive attempts to stop anyone attempting to archive for the sake of preservation).
Complete shit. |

08.20.22 | This actually happened to me back in 2018. I spoke to Apple support and they basically bullshitted me for a week, having senior advisors call me and get me to restart/refresh/wipe my computer. I gave up in the end and subbed to Spotify, but I was dissatisfied with how little they pay the artists and the fact I couldn’t rip any CD’s to it. Switched to Apple Music in the end, I wouldn’t have if they hadn’t done me dirty but I don’t mind it so much now
Also you can alter the artwork yourself if you right click on the album, find “Artwork”, select it, backspace and you can upload an image of the artwork from your photo’s library. I do it for deluxe editions with the same art as the original so I don’t get confused |

08.22.22 | I might have made it too subtle but yeah I pirated all of it over the last decade, but only now is it becoming unavailable which I found strange
I really don't think I should be at the mercy of a company like apple to listen to music, as I said I find other ways to financially contribute to artists I like
Willie thanks I'll try that

08.22.22 | this sounds like an issue my mum was having and apparently it can be a right ball-ache to sort out (not her exact wording), think she ended up doing a lot of manual re-organisation
but yeah like Willie said I'm sure they don't check for the legality or 'origin' of the music you have obtained, this just seems to be a glitch that can happen when pairing a new device to your existing library |
