(Mana)tea time - Unnecessary Expenses

Welcome back to (mana)tea time, where I talk about my life only to be mercilessly pummeled by the sput community for sharing. In this installment I’m going to divulge some things I own that are unnecessarily expensive. I did not actually pay for all of these myself, but it’s cool to own them! Then you can tell me some things you own that cost far too much but you’re happy you bought (or were gifted).
1Underoath
Lost in the Sound of Separation

Watch – Shinola Runwell Automatic. This was a birthday gift from my parents when I turned thirty. I love this thing. It’ll last many years. Also Shinola does free servicing and cleaning every three years which is probably the best thing about owning it.
2Pierce the Veil
Collide with the Sky

Wallet – Burberry wallet that I got on sale for $150 under like $370. I know what you’re thinking, “$150 for a wallet?” Because it still looks brand new five years later, that’s why. Thing’s gonna last me like forty years.
3Linkin Park
Meteora

Shoes – I own two pairs of dress shoes (brown and black). I got one pair on mega sale for like $80, but the other pair was a birthday gift from my wife from a company called Beckett Simonon. I know a nice pair of shoes can easily be worth more than $100 but I would never, ever, ever spend more than $130-150 on a good pair of shoes. These were about $250 and lemme tell ya… good investment.
4All Time Low
So Wrong, It's Right

Jeans – I have religiously worn Levi’s for almost the entirety of my life. Somewhat recently though I saw a bomb deal on a pair of Joe’s Jeans and picked them up. Amazing. Also more expensive than they should be.
5Brand New
The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

Espresso pods – Peet’s Coffee Nespresso pods are unnecessarily expensive. They are also some of the best Nespresso pods out there, and they’re still cheaper than going to Starbucks (or Peet’s for that matter).
6Protest the Hero
Palimpsest

Wife’s rings – I have spent far more money than should make sense on some sparkly compressed carbon, but hey, happy wife=happy life, right?
7Dayseeker
Sleeptalk

iPad Pro – I actually didn't need an iPad Pro. An iPad Air would have certainly done fine. I just like the whole “Pro” thing and the difference in cost between the two wasn’t large enough to warrant not upgrading.
