List of excellent rock albums indeed hear, hear
I haven't made a list on this site since the summer of 2020 and that is just negligence. So here goes, a list of rock albums (psychedelic, stoner, kraut, space, progressive, jam, experimental, genre, another genre...) that I have enjoyed for a while now. Please recommend me yours and I might listen to them and appreciate you for it. |
1 | | Slift Ilion
I can't stop listening to this. It's just so bloody good. |
2 | | Elder (USA-MA) Innate Passage
They just always pen good stuff this album included. Loving the progressive rock over stoner rock style they're gearing more and more towards. |
3 | | Kairon IRSE! Polysomn
Psychedelic awesomeness from Finland. Loving the post-rock vibes they have squeezed into their sound as well. Highly recommend. |
4 | | Orions Belte Villa Amorini
Sunny vibes from Norway. These guys are pretty damn overlooked on here imo. |
5 | | Papir Papir III
Jams for days. Causa Sui's talented younger broder. |
6 | | Karkwa Dans Le Seconde
Excellent album with some really creative songwriting. Allez les bleus! |
7 | | Teksti-Tv 666 Vapauden tasavalta
Finnish squadron of guitar warriors. Pure rock goodness really. |
8 | | Kanaan Double Sun
Jams from another Norwegian group that have mastered the art of cosmos doodling. |
9 | | Pershagen Hilma
Odd psych-stuff from Sweden that I just vibe with. |
10 | | Causa Sui Summer Sessions Vol. 1
Danish auteurs of jams. All their Summer Session albums are minted (pretty much everything else as well tbf), but this one has that extra je ne sais quoi factor. |
11 | | Mt. Mountain Centre
These Aussies sure know how to lure you into a lulling vibe and do so best on this album. |
12 | | Monomyth (NL) Monomyth
Dutch psych-proggers. Long songs full of magic. Just yesness all around. |
13 | | Kikagaku Moyo Masana Temples
Japanese psychedelic band that take their time with their compositions. Lovely. |
14 | | King Buffalo Longing To Be The Mountain
The title track and Morning Song are just top top tunes. Listened to this a lot while road tripping in the summer. |
15 | | Wobbler Dwellers of the Deep
Criminally underrated Norwegian prog rock. These guys are the real deal and this album rivals the best Yes has put out if I'm being honest. |
16 | | Fontan Fontän
Krauty, electronicy but still rocky stuff from Sweden. Give them a try! |
17 | | Dhidalah Threshold 発端
This stuff just oozes riffs. Japanese heavy rock music with a strong spaced out psychedelic touch. |
18 | | Gnoomes Mu!
These Russians experimented with a lot of oddball Sovjet synths on this krauty album and the result is a very cool album indeed. |
19 | | Minami Deutsch With Dim Light
Spaced out Japanese jams |
20 | | Yoo Doo Right A Murmur, Boundless to the East
These Canadians have a really interesting take on post-rock that is both fresh and very pleasant to listen to. |
21 | | Hum Inlet
I don't think I need to introduce this one here. Great album really. |
22 | | zouz Vertiges
very interesting mathy oddball rock music from France. I don't know what else to say, just give them go. |
23 | | Here the Captain speaking, the Captain is dead Flux Capacitor
Spanish space rock that just hits the right spots. Fantastic album to get lost in. |
