04.22.09 | fitter happier is awesome =( |

04.22.09 | "I instantly fell in love with the bends, whilst OK is still growing. I can safely say the bends feels more of a complete album to me than OK. It also doesn't have the lame fitter happier put straight in the middle"
this is by far the stupidest thing ive read on this site |
DaveyBoy
04.22.09 | I'm with you on this one Croc... Although it simply may be our taste for a more guitar-oriented sound. |
Electric City
04.22.09 | ugh come on dude have some taste |
thebhoy
04.22.09 | your opinion is wrong. |
TheGreatD17
04.22.09 | I actually agree with pretty much everything you said. Fitter Happier doesn't add anything to OK Computer except for minutes, in fact its entire middle third isn't amazing. And I don't know why slightly preferring one over the other is a sign of bad taste, it's all good music. |

04.22.09 | "this is by far the stupidest thing ive read on this site"
you must not spend much time on sputnik, as this seems like a reasonable opinion to for one to have. |
thebhoy
04.22.09 | Pitchfork gave them both 10.0's you guys... Can't we all just get along? |
TheGreatD17
04.22.09 | Pitchfork doesn't settle arguments, it creates them. |
Electric City
04.22.09 | i mean come on fitter happier is beautiful it's just not a song. It's an interlude but I've fallen in love with it as much as I have every other track |
Burning_October
04.22.09 | Fitter Happier fits it's place well because otherwise the disconnect between Karma Police and Electioneering would be too strange. In any case, I kinda wish that Electioneering had been cut, although to be honest every track on that album is amazing. |
PuddleSwimmer
04.22.09 | RADIOHEAD IS GENIUS LISTEN EVERYWHERE |
Douchebag
04.22.09 | Electioneering is probably one of my favourites from the album. It's still a great piece of work, but the bends just suits my taste so much better, and yeah, maybe it is the guitar orientated sound...
The big question, is where to go next... |
PuddleSwimmer
04.22.09 | Radiohead wise you mean? |
Douchebag
04.22.09 | Yeah. Im thinking In Rainbows....? or just the next one across? I think it was kid A. |
Douchebag
04.22.09 | Perhaps Ok has more lasting appeal? I only got the bends a few days ago, but I really can't see it losing it's appeal... |
PuddleSwimmer
04.22.09 | I actually really like Hail To The Thief but it seems like its an acquired taste.
In Rainbows is easier to get into, but dont neglect Thief.
Then again, Amnesiac has must-hear tracks like Pyramid Song and Knives Out...I only really care for the last portion of Kid A....
So I'd say
In Rainbows
Kid A
Hail to the Thief
Amnesiac |
TheGreatD17
04.22.09 | Well if you prefer the rock sound you might as well get Pablo Honey next. It isn't very good, but there are a handful of pretty good songs and it will make you appreciate their later music more. Then I would go with Kid A, which is their third best album in my opinion. |
PuddleSwimmer
04.22.09 | hoshit i forgot pable honey. get pablo honey before kid a. its not at ALL as bad as people whine it is |
Knott-
04.22.09 | srsly anyone who thinks Fitter Happier is lame needs their head checking out. it's fucking incredible.
for the record i think the bends is freaking awesome too, and i wish street spirit was the closer to OKC because then i think OKC would be nearly perfect. |
TheGreatD17
04.22.09 | The Tourist might be their most underrated song, I can't imagine anything else closing that album. |
The Computer
04.22.09 | I do not think The Bends can hold a candle to OK Computer. OK Computer is better musically and it flows very well. Every song (except The Tourist) is a classic, where as in The Bends you get Fake Plastic Trees, My Iron Lung, and Street Spirit. The rest is just ok, except for Bones, which in my opinion is not good. OK has more feeling in it (yes it does).
But anyways, Kid A is their best and is home to their best song, The National Anthem. And do what Benzum said. Get their lost tapes and B-Sides. Talk Show Host is a masterpeice and is one of my favorite Radiohead song lyrically. |
Yazz_Flute
04.22.09 | The Bends grew off of me a lot since I first heard it tbh.
OK Computer and Kid A are their best. |
The Computer
04.22.09 | Oops, I meant Subterrean Homesick Alien is the only song on OK that I even consider skipping.
|

04.22.09 | wow alligator, the elitists on this site really do not like you...
Personally I think radiohead is pretty overrated, although Kid A and OK computer are pretty much epic.
never gave much of a look into the bends tho.
Start listening to thrice btw. |
shindip
04.22.09 | awesome digs list
the bends=ok computer |
Douchebag
04.22.09 | Bones is a decent song. It keeps the flow going really well.
"wow alligator, the elitists on this site really do not like you..."
lol I learn to ignore them. |
Yotimi
04.22.09 | Both albums are awesome, so you can't go wrong either way. It depends what mood I'm in, but sometimes I prefer The Bends too. Anyways, get Kid A next. You are guaranteed to love The National Anthem - it'll kick your ass. |

04.22.09 | alligator |

04.22.09 | why? |
gaslightanthem
04.22.09 | why do you consistently have bad taste eeurgh ...ok computer > the bends so bad |
lateoctober
04.22.09 | I would take the Bends over OK almost any day. OK is a great album but it also becomes a bit cold at times, almost as if Thom Yorke just put himself on cruise control and just started to utter anything into the microphone. OK has the better songs but it winds down into a dirge near the end unlike the Bends which keeps a solid pace throughout. |
gaslightanthem
04.22.09 | lolwrongnvm |
Douchebag
04.23.09 | lateoctober hit the nail on the head.
OK Computer feels like a statement. the Bends feels like an album. |
kitsch
06.01.09 | youre the biggest tool alive. |
PuddleSwimmer
06.01.09 | The Bends does rule a lot |
kitsch
06.01.09 | ofc it does i love the bends but theres no way its better than ok. no way in hell. too many bland 90s rock songs like bones or black star. i enjoy those tracks, but every single song on ok is absolutely mind-blowing. |
PayneTiger777
06.01.09 | Taste is taste. Everyone shut up ffs. |
PuddleSwimmer
06.01.09 | What happened to me was I got The Bends, OK, and Amnesiac all at the same time. So I don't know how to compare them, I just knew "wow, I really love this band now" |
kitsch
06.01.09 | no its not. taste can be bad. we have scientifically measured alligator's taste and determined thru the post factualist vacuum equation divided by 24 that alligator is in fact a tool and so are you. |
PayneTiger777
06.01.09 | Yeah, and I do the cha cha like a sissy girl. |
bloc
06.01.09 | this understandable; The Bends is more of a rock album, while OK is more experimental. So perhaps Crocodile just prefers straight rock without too much extra stuff. |
kitsch
06.01.09 | thus his lack of taste |
