Strawberry Season Is Over!

No more strawberries to pick up + shitty weather = I can finally post something on Sputnik before rasberries ruin my social life.
1The Faceless
planetary duality

Incredible progressive death metal + creepy alien voice = Win.
Is their debut any good?
2Gallows
orchestra of wolves

It's good to hear some fresh punk music nowadays. Grey Britain is better ( minus the vocals ), but what an impressive debut album. Abandon ship is killer.
3Alexisonfire
old crows / young cardinals

My favorite Alexisonfire album since their debut. I know a lot of people don't like the new direction, but don't listen to it expecting older Alexisonfire. Georges' voice is fucked, but Dallas never sounded better and there's plenty of awesome choruses on this.
4Mastodon
Blood Mountain

This is better than crack the skye, which is the first Mastodon album I've heard. The guitar work on this is very imaginative and the vocals sound less whiny than on crack the skye. Are older albums better than this?
5Darkest Hour
The eternal return

I heard the single "No God" on XM Liquid Metal and decided to get the album. There's no standout tracks and it gets very repetitive, there's much better Thrash Metal than this. Once again, is their earlier work better than this?
6The devil wears prada
with roots above and branches below

Hum, it's an ok album, some catchy keyboard melodies that make me think of BMTH. The guitar work's not impressive at all. The vocals get annoying very soon, but the clean vocals are good. I didn't hear any of their older albums, any recs?
