Live Shows Not To Miss
Live acts that I have seen and are simply amazing, in no particular order. |
1 | AFI
I saw AFI w/ Taking Back Sunday and Angels and Airwaves in 2007 and they were amazing live, Davey's voice is even better live then on cd. |
2 | Taking Back Sunday
Adam Lazzara makes good use of all the stage space by throwing the microphone around and throwing himself around. |
3 | Emery
Seen them 3 times, each time with a different friend, each time telling them the same thing, keep your eyes on Josh Head(keyboard) because he is insane, my friends after the show always agreed. |
4 | Toby Keith
I have gone twice, neither time really wanting to go and it is a ton of fun definitely recommend! |
5 | Aerosmith
I saw them when I had just turned 18 and everything I had heard were true, Steven Tyler really kicks some ass live. |
6 | From First To Last
I saw them with Emery, Emanuel, and Halifax and the show was incredible. This was in 2005 when FFTL still had Sonny was lead singer. |
7 | Circa Survive
Anthony Green, if you like his vocals on CD, go see them live, simply incredible. |
8 | Saves The Day
Really great show, they take requests from the crowd and Chris really paints a good picture of his music on stage. |
9 | Senses Fail
I'm putting them on here not for how good they are in concert but how much fun there concerts were. Buddy doesn't sound very good but the rest of the band really rocks. |
10 | Rise Against
Great show, saw them right after the release of Revolutions Per Minute. |
11 | Against Me!
Lead Singer's voice isn't great but for some reason live it really sounds a lot better and they put on a heck of a show, Highlight is Sink Florida Sink. |
12 | The Used
Made Taste of Chaos worth it by themselves. |
13 | UnderOath
Saw them right after They're Only Chasing Safety, craziest concert I have ever been to after... |
14 | Protest The Hero
Saw them at Warped Tour, and they don't sound that great live, but the show they put on is mind blowing, absolute pandemonium on stage. |
15 | Huey Lewis and the News
I had heard from many people they put on a good show, so I went in with decent expectations and they were well above expectations and put on one of the best shows I have ever seen, easily a top 5 show. |
16 | Heart
I was able to go see Cheap Trick, Heart, and Journey. Not a big fan of Cheap Trick and i wasn't turned in to one. Heart I always liked a few songs, but after their performance immediately became a huge fan. |
17 | The Who
I was able to see the Who when I was really young, around 12 or 13 and I was already a big rock n roll fan, and I thought The Who was ok, I was ready to go home until they kicked off their set with We Won't Be Fooled Again and I was hooked. |
18 | Roger Waters
Very trippy show with hit after hit, followed by a brief intermission and Dark Side Of the Moon in its entirety. |
19 | Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
This is a premature ranking, I have heard he is fantastic, I am actually going this Saturday(September 12th, 2009) and am hoping its as good as advertised. |
20 | The Rolling Stones
Also premature, will be seeing them next time they come to town, and have also heard and seen(on dvd's) that they are a great live band |
