10.01.09 | great list except for 6
also, "New Again" is THE MOST overhyped, painfully-average album to come out this year.
yeah daisy is overhyped too, but if your ranking stuff, Beggars, Crashlove, THEN THE REST |

But instead of Britney, his obsessed with Brand New.
theacademy, I still can't decide if I like New Again better than Crash Love, but overhyped or not, New Again got way more undeserved shit than Daisy ever will.
I love it, but I don't feel the need to defend it like Brand New lovers do.

Kashmir09
10.01.09 | First off, that's the most horrible YouTube video ever created lol. I was sickened. Second of all, I just don't get you, did Jesse Lacey fuck your girlfriend or something? I absolutely can't stand some of my old favorite bands albums, yet I don't go posting on them and trying to sway everyone else's opinions to agree with mine? Would you be satisfied if everyone agreed and hated it with you? The answers no considering that would ruin all of the apparent fun you're having in being the flavor of the week on this gayass site. I hope you enjoy alll of your gay emo music while I fuck Daisy so hard in the ass like the fanboy I guess I am |

10.01.09 | Look, I love New Again. Do you see me attacking or protecting that album? Do you see me defending Beggars and going insane against someone who doesn't like it?
You're a crazy over defensive fanboy, yes. People don't like a record you love, big deal. You'll love it because you love, not because I don't. Some people will hate it because they feel like it's the most disappointing record they've heard, others will love and say it's the most innovative and amazing thing they've heard.
"WHY SO SERIOUS, LEAVE BRAND NEW ALONE" mode?
Let's put a smile on that face. (: |
Kashmir09
10.01.09 | The fact that you still don't get why you annoy the shit out of me is disappointing. I DON'T CARE THAT YOU DON'T LIKE DAISY. That's perfectly fine, I didn't make it. I love respectfully disagreeing on music, that's the whole point of sites like this, to have in depth music arguments. You on the other hand, have taken the route of a 12 year old, and decided to try to make sure everyone on this site knows your (often idiotic) opinion on the album. Do you think I'm going to everyone who gave this a 1 on this site and commenting towards them? Hell no. Brand New is a good band IMO. I can totally see how people can't like the album. THE WAY YOU'RE GOING ABOUT IT IS WHAT IS PISSING EVERYONE OFF. THE FACT THAT YOU CAN'T FIGURE THAT OUT IS RIDICULOUS. HOLY SHIT, ALL CAPS |
qwe3
10.01.09 | tl;dr redsparrow sry |
redsparrow
10.01.09 | LOL.
ME, let's say it again, ME bashing someone? Can you really say that with a straight face? HELL FUCKIN LOL. I don't bash ANYONE here. I get bashed for disliking a record from one of my favorite bands and expressing it. When someone bashes a record I love, I don't get up in arms. When someone bashes a record that has the Brand New name on it, it's some kind of sacrilege, lol.
Look at the Green Day's newest record review for once as an example. People generally love that record, I don't give a shit about it. Electric City gave that a 2. Yes, a 2. Not even Green Day fanboys are that annoying or butthurt because of that. Certain Brand New fanboys (a title I think I deserve too) are way over protective with this band. I don't like a record and I talk about it, like Boognish and a lot of people do. We get trashed because of that, most of the times we don't even fight back. Please, take the "stones out of your ass" and realize that people will like whatever they do, and they're entitled to say what they think how many times they feel like.
As an example: I keep talking about how awesome TDGARIM is since I started post here. Are anyone complaining about that? No. Why? Because nobody gets butthurt about that. Now get out of your high horse and understand that. This is just a band releasing a bad record TO ME, you don't have to hate me for thinking that or for stating that how many times I do. This is one of my favorite bands, but I don't like a record of them. Big. Fucking. Deal. |

10.01.09 | Rant
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A rant or harangue is a speech or text that does not present a well-researched and calm argument; rather, it is typically an attack on an idea, a person or an institution, and very often lacks proven claims. Such attacks are usually personal attacks. Compare with a dialectic.
In some cases, rants are based on facts and concrete information, such as found on Rant.com. A Rant is often based on fact or may be entirely factual but written in a comedic, humorous form as on the web's "Rant.com" (established 1995) Rant.com, or on television's The Daily Show (established 1999) (a news program on the Comedy Central network).
However, some rants are used not to attack something, but to defend an individual, idea or organization. Rants of this type generally occur after the subject has been attacked by another individual or group.
Rants in social settings
Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park is a famous public space in which rants are legitimately allowed.[1].
Rants have been prohibited and still are in places where freedom of Speech or political protest is discouraged or outlawed.
Rants are discouraged or prohibited in some scientific and decision-making groups. The prohibition of rants has a long history in Europe.
Rants are used often in situations requiring monologue. Comedians, such as Lewis Black or Rick Mercer, use rants as a way to get their message or punch-line across to the listening audience. A good example of a public speaker who add rants in his act is Dennis Miller, a political satirist and comedian.
Rants are commonplace on the internet. Many people may have different opinions on certain matters online than they do offline, mainly because of the anonymity. Several websites allow people to rant freely online.
Rants are also published in books, such as A Rant Too Far [2]. Books such as these, work as a stimulus to informed dinner table banter and as a source book for various topics ranging from religion, through politics to education.

10.01.09 | so i still havent listened to 9 is it worth my time...i love everything else they've ever done but im just too fat to type their name into mininova |
redsparrow
10.01.09 | theacademy
Personally I think 9 it's their best record so far. It's a grower, but I like it way more than any of their older stuff now. It's such a shame cause Bert can't perform anymore as he used to since he fucked up his vocal chords. I really hope he gets better tho.
shindip
Oh. That's my point, kiddo. The fact of people caring or not about Brand New or Green Day shouldn't cloud their mind about respecting other opinions and especially about how good or bad a record is. I can't listen through all 21st Century Breakdown without getting bored to death, but I assure you it's a way better record than Daisy. But that almost anything is. |

10.01.09 | On that note, let's quit the bickering. I apologize to anyone I offended, and I hate that this album is becoming a mockery because of people like redsparrow and myself for getting worked up. Let's get back to some positive music chattin', everyone's established everything they need to. Redsparrow, I offer you a hand in friendship lol |

AtavanHalen
10.01.09 | This argument is fucking dead. Daisy rules, New Again is shit, straylight/timberwolf/batman/sparrow is a troll pretending to be an intelligent troll and failing. |
qwe3
10.01.09 | The usage of the word troll has developed over time. It might have had the original meaning of supernatural or magical with an overlay of malignant and perilous |
Kashmir09
10.01.09 | To show that I can stretch, I am absolutely not a fan of TBS in any way shape or form, but I must say that "Sink Into Me" is a pretty delicious tune |
redsparrow
10.01.09 | The funny thing is that I'm not even my own neighbor, but i am neighbor to timberwolf/batman. Neighbor system fails.
And I'm with Iluvatar at this one. People should vote instead of bickering. |
