Top 10 Favorite Bands

I don't think I've made a list like this before, because its hard to rank music from different genres, but here it goes. (Favorite albums from each are ()'s)
1Nine Inch Nails

Its interesting. The only NIN album i've enjoyed since The Fragile has been
Ghosts, yet I always say they're my favorite band. I think my love of the
Fragile outshines any mistakes Trent made in his later career. (The Fragile)
2Opeth

Probably the only band I know without a song that I don't flat-out dislike.
Opeth
gets better with each listen, and keeps me interested throughout all of
their albums. (MAYH/Still Life)
3Tool

Not sure what it is about this band. So unique, so personal, so deep, and
so fucking heavy! (Aenima)
4Rage Against the Machine

Probably the only politically-oriented band I enjoy. I love their message and
their music. (Evil Empire)
5King Crimson

KC is probably responsible for a few other bands being on this list, so I feel
like i have to include them, and they're fucking fabulous. (Red)
6Death

Chuck has one of the most magnificent careers in music, IMO. He played a
huge part in defining a genre, and took it to places unimaginable. (Sound of
Perseverance)
7Pink Floyd

Again they're responsible for a few bands on here. Easily the most talented
'classic rock' group. They stood out from the rest and went on to influence
so many great musicians to come. (Meddle)
8Between the Buried and Me

These guys have done so much considering their age. The only problem is
that each of their albums is tremendously difficult to follow. I hope their
career is long-lived. (Alaska)
9Wolves in the Throne Room

They don't necessarily bring anything new to black metal, but somehow
they're the most refreshing black metal band i've heard in a long time.
Great atmosphere, great riffs, great song structures. (Black Cascade)
10Acid Bath

More than Acid Bath, I really love Dax Riggs (not necessarily for his Solo
album). But he's just such a fantastic frontman. The imagery conveyed
through his lyrics, along with his unique delivery, and the crushing riffs of
Sammy Duet make Acid Bath a one-of-a-kind adventure. (Pagan Terrorism
Tactics)
