American Apparel Ads

If there has to be ads, those are just fine ;) I'm trying to get some quick reviews out for a few 2009 releases that don't have any yet. I know that I won't be able to hit them all (or even come close), but these are the ones on my list (currently working on The Orb).
1The Shizit
The Shizit

The best industrial metal release of the year, and it's free. Download the fuck out of it right now: www.glitchmode.com/the-shizit/ (I'm hoping metalstyles will review this one).
2Collide
These Eyes Before

A collection of cover songs from this goth/industrial band.
3Hayley Westenra
Winter Magic

Probably the only seasonal album I've been interested in hearing. She has a beautiful voice - for fans of Enya and Sarah Brightman
4I Scintilla
Prey on You EP

A quick EP to give a taste of what the band's upcoming album has in store. Female-fronted industrial.
5Elysion
Silent Scream

This band seems poised to try to take over from where Lacuna Coil left off after Comalies
6Anneke van Giersbergen & Danny Cavanagh
In Parallel

Acoustic remakes of songs from both of the artists' pasts, as well as a few cover songs... probably mostly for diehard fans.
7Claire Voyant
Lustre

Used to be kind of a darkwave/industrial band, but lately they've moved to poppier pastures. Similar to a subdued Delerium without the new age elements.
8D Creation
Silent Echoes

Basically they're metalcore, but they have a proggy undercurrent that sets them apart.
9The Orb
Baghdad Batteries

Ambient soundscapes similar to their U.F.Orb album
10French Teen Idol
El Siete es la Luz

Great post rock in the vein of God is an Astronaut's first album (this has been on the back-burner for months).
11Lethian Dreams
Bleak Silver Streams

One of 2009's better doom releases
12Omega Lithium
Dreams In Formaline

Lacuna Coil meets Samael? I don't know, but it's great industrialized gothic rock.
13The Postmarks
Memoirs At The End Of The World

I've been putting this off because my knowledge if indie is zero, but I really like this.
14Psyclon Nine
We the Fallen

Great black metal-influenced industrial. Balls was supposed to be doing a review for this, but it hasn't happened yet. Where is it, Balls?
15To-Mera
Earthbound EP

Crappy EP from this female-fronted "progressive" metal band
16Kate Earl
Kate Earl

One of the many good pop-oriented albums to come out this year.
17Acylum
The Enemy

Dark, oppressive and dissonant industrial with a symphonic undercurrent. Very good stuff.
18My Dying Bride
Bring Me Victory EP

Crappy EP from this once-great doom band.
19Emilie Simon
The Big Machine

Slightly more organic approach from France's version of Bjork
20Agua de Annique
In Your Room

Not the album you might expect from her... the verdict is still out on this one.
