10 Albums That I Can Always Listen To
I've been on Sputnik a lot but this is my first list. Let me know what you guys think and what I should look into. |
1 | | Saul Williams Amethyst Rock Star
I love this album. It's slam poetry put to music. This rocked my world when I first heard it and it still does to this day. |
2 | | Rancid Life Won't Wait
Rancid is one of my favorite bands. In my opinion this is their best album. They blend reggae, punk, and ska so perfectly here. Each song is related to another while still emphasizing different elements. Awesome from start to finish. |
3 | | Radiohead The Bends
Another one of my favorite bands. The lyrics, the music, the rhythms. Everything about this band is awesome. The Bends is an awesome album that has some memorable and catchy tracks, while still flowing excellently. |
4 | | Sublime Sublime
I was obsessed with Sublime when I first heard them. This album got me into the band and I still love to listen to it. There are so many classics on this album. |
5 | | Pink Floyd Animals
I've listened to a lot of Floyd and this album is one of the best. The songs aren't real catchy or radio-friendly. But Animals flows so wonderfully. Each song moves right into the next without breaking up the record. |
6 | | Rage Against the Machine Evil Empire
I know that many people say it's one of RATM's worst album. And while I know it isn't their best, I keep coming back to it. The tracks on this record are powerful and driving. Definitely good stuff. |
7 | | Brand New The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me
I definitely stayed away from this genre until I heard this album. I always thought that it would be too "weak" or "emo" for me. But this really is some good stuff. The album is a classic and it really opened up my music taste. |
8 | | Refused The Shape of Punk to Come
Sooooo much more than perfect hardcore punk. The first two tracks bring in a nice slow intro and then Refused really show what they can do. The contrast of fast and slow, loud and soft, really give the record a characteristic that sets it apart from other hardcore punk. |
9 | | Operation Ivy Energy
I wish this band had done so much more. They created a dynamite sound with this album that other bands haven't been able to match. They blended ska and punk into something that was totally original. |
10 | | Radiohead OK Computer
I didn't really want to put two albums by the same artist, but this one is too good to pass up. It was the first Radiohead album i heard and I've never gotten sick of it. |
