This album is a bit of a stinker as far as i'm concerned, and many
people here agree with me, i know. really no need to re-hash this
discussion. But I gave it another listen in light of yesterday's sad

Critical Acclaim
Just about everything in this song is win. Easily the best song they've put
out since "Waking the Fallen", and one of the few since "City of Evil" that
doesn't need to be bailed out by a pretty solo (altho it is admittedly pretty
sweet). Shadows vocals don't feel goofy, probably because he's not really
singing the verses...he's almost rapping, and oddly enough, it works. The
political angle of the song, usually the kiss of death for musicians in my
opinion, seems well executed, and those lyrical asides seem move the song
along instead of breaking up its progression... Can't really say it fits with
anything else they've put out...not really metalcore, not really faux-
metalcore, not really radio-rock... its peculiar but it just might be their
masterpiece had it come out years before (people seem uncomfortable with
that concept now that the band has turned, this i know...) | | 2 |
A Little Piece of Heaven
Sounds like they were covering MCR. not in sevenfold's stylebook, which

just sad how some fans embraced this. really nothing redeeming you can

one of the worst things i have ever heard. easily. Hearing this the first time
reminded me of hearing "Circle" by slipknot i don't know if anyone can
