Top Albums Of 2009
I know many people have done these lists, but the year is officially over so I think it's safe. Btw these aren't in any particular order. I have recantly forgot a few albums so another list is coming. |
1 | | Every Time I Die New Junk Aesthetic
This album is incredibly addictave. It's so catchy. I couldn't stop listening to it for weeks. |
2 | | Baroness The Blue Record
This is just a great example of a band spreading it's musical wings and putting out a bad ass album. They pick up where they left off with the Red Album and kept going in the right direction. |
3 | | He Is Legend It Hates You
This album didn't get the credit that it deserved. I think that, even thought it wasn't Suck Out the Poison or I Am Hollywood, but it still had that great He Is Legend feel. The direction that they went in this album really did a lot for me. |
4 | | BATS Red In Tooth & Claw
I never heard of the band before i went on this site, and i bought it on a whim. I am so glad that I did. A great example of post-hardcore. |
5 | | The Decemberists The Hazards of Love
I love this album, especially the hard rock/blues feel that they added. It's a little different than previous albums, but it so works. |
6 | | Fall Of Troy In The Unlikely Event
It seemed to me that many people didn't like this album because it wasn't Doppelganger or something. So what?? Just because they added a bit more pop-ish sound to it doesn't mean it's bad. It think this was a fun album. |
7 | | God Forbid Earthsblood
I like the depth that they put into this album. It's a lot more full sounding than the other albums that they put out. Plus the album art is sweet. |
8 | | Horse the Band Desperate Living
Just good stuff. I think this album has a bit more of a serious vibe to it than A Natural Death. It's great. |
9 | | Lamb Of God Wrath
This album is metal in it's purest form. Not too many metal albums sound like this. It's too much of this death metal stuff. More bands should sound like this. |
10 | | Mastodon Crack the Skye
This is such a great album. The whole album just fits together perfectly. The album basically speaks for its self. |
