My Top 10 Concerts
1Tool/Isis- Sept. 15th, 2006-Kansas City

Isis really blew me away, their stuff was really amazing and sucked me in. I had heard Tool's opening acts (i.e. Tomahawk) sucked ass, so they were a pleasant surprise. Then came Tool...opening with Stinkfist. The energy was right on. Every song was dead on...no OGT though, which kinda sucked, but they did do Wings for Marie/10,000 Days. The greatest thing though was that when they took a break and sat on Maynards podium, everyone held up a lighter. There were so many lighters that the place was completely illuminated. It was like a million fireflies. Just amazing
2Audioslave/Seether/30 Seconds to Mars. Oct. 2005-Oklahoma City

I didn't get to see 30 Seconds to Mars (we got there late), but I walked by Jared Leto and didn't even know it! Seether was okay, they were kinda borin, but he said he had been sick, so I chock it up to that. But Audioslave was out of this world. Played Rage and Soundgarden songs as well as their great songs. When they did Killing in the Name Of...they hit the floor lights and everyone went ballistic. It was great
3A Perfect Circle/The Mars Volta-March 2004, Norman OK

The Mars Volta was pretty good. Their sound sucked, but their drummer was fucking amazing! APC was great though. Josh Freese played with a broken knee cap. They played every song off their 2 albums (except Weak and Powerless and Gravity) and even did Fred Got Slacks (from SNL, Will Ferrell) makin fun of Josh. Orestes and 3 Libras were the highlight. Just beautiful.
4Tool, May 2006, Kansas City

It was their warm-up tour before goin overseas. It was so amazing just being there, hearing them. It was like in a school gym or something, only like 3000 people there (paid a SHIT load ot get in there) and they messed up a little bit. When Adam did his talk box solo for "Jambi", there was some major feedback which hurt everyone's ears
5The Who - Aug. 2000. Dallas

The Who were my fave band in High School, so seeing them was one of the biggest rushs of my life. They were just on fire, John Entwistle did a 10 minute bass solo and I got to meet Pete Townshend after the show. An amazing first concert.
6Incubus, Sept. 2004, Dallas

I wasn't really into Incubus yet when I saw them. But they put on a great show. Ben Kinney, Brandon and Jose did a 3 piece drum solo, which was great to see.
7The Darkness, May, 2005, Dallas

You know, you can knock these guys all they want, but they put on a great show. Great light effects and I was in the front row. I slapped all their hands after the show. It was pretty kick ass.
8Seven Mary, Dec. 2003, Fayetteville, AR

They weren't anything special, but it was the first semi-famous band I got to see upclose. Had great energy and did 'Lucky' which is an amazing song. Got to meet them after the show and they were geniunely nice guys.
9Chevelle/Dark New Day, May 2005, Fayetteville, AR

Chevelle came to my home town to put on a free concert. They fucking rocked out, but their sound was a little off. Dark New Day, whose CD blew, put on a better live show. It was still a fun experience and both shows were great to see
10Victor Wooten, Nov. 2003, Fayetteville, AR,

It was Victor Wooten...I mean, come on, the guy is the best bassist on the face of the earth. That alone is enough to be in my top 10. I didn't know how short he was, but man, you dont even know how good he is until you see him live.
