Fuck Amazon
I know I'm contributing to the downfall of mom-and-pop record stores that I know and love, but dammit, amazon is just so CHEAP! Here are 10 albums I just bought on Amazon that should be at my home in the next week or two. |
1 | | Acumen Nation The 5ifth Column
One of the more expensive discs I bought. I have high hopes for this; should be industrial and very heavy. |
2 | | Fear Factory Demanufacture
I'm just starting with FF. Hopefully I made the right choice of album to start with. |
3 | | Fear Factory Obsolete
If I didn't, hopefully this was the right choice! |
4 | | The Pixies Trompe Le Monde
Something to balance out all the industrial and metal I bought. This is the only Pixies album I don't yet own. |
5 | | Death Angel Act III
I've been letting my thrash collection languish as I build my industrial collection. My first DA album, hope it's good. |
6 | | Pigface Gub
The biggest (and the one with the biggest revolving door of members) industrial supergroup. Hope this is good. NIN's "Suck" was originally written and recorded with Pigface. |
7 | | My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult I See Good Spirits And I See Bad Spirits
I recently the three albums after this one (Confessions of a Knife is the best), and they are SOOOO awesome. I wanted the album with "Girl From Another Planet" but this was cheap as shit, and I figured it'd be nice to have the first album. |
8 | | Skinny Puppy Too Dark Park
I'm not a big Skinny Puppy fan, but I've only gone by pirated songs. I'm going to go ahead and give them an honest college try. |
9 | | Neurosis Neurosis and Jarboe
Neurosis w the singer from the Swans. I've heard the first song off this and it's eerie as fuck ("I'm tellin ya... If god wants to take me.... He will... HE'S COMING"). I'm psyched. |
10 | | The Magnetic Fields 69 Love Songs
Heard this from a friend, and have been wanting my own copy for some time, but it's always been expensive. Today I said fuck it, and plopped down $15 including S&H; it's still at least half the price it would be at... a mom-and-pop record store [le sigh]. |
