| Modest Mouse
Just got back from seeing Modest Mouse in concert in Royal Oak,
Michigan. I was weary at first because my friend said they were
terrible when he saw them live, and unfortunately, he was close
to the truth. The show, the lights, the atmosphere, and the band
were all nice, but it just doesn't feel as genuine as their
recordings sound. Perhaps they are one of those bands that are
better appreciated through your speakers rather than in a large
theatre. Don't get me wrong, I love MM and a lot of the songs
were fun live, but it just wasn't the same, at all.

07.03.10 | Sorry 'bout the double post. Good to see someone else appreciates Sleepy Sun. On a completely different note, Sleepy Sun is absolutely amazing in concert. I've been to a lot of shows in my day, but Sleepy Sun's set isn't just a performance, it's an experience. |
