NEVERfade
07.03.10 | If Death Metal and Black Metal and what ever other types of Metal there is all became really popular and everyone listened to it, would you still like to it? |

NEVERfade
07.03.10 | What im saying is, if your favourite metal bands went all really famous, and everyone was wearing tshirts of them and their music was always on tv, would you still like them as much, knowing that millions of teenagers love them |
DoubtGin
07.03.10 | why should you not like them then? |
Dryden
07.03.10 | but i dont wear shirts and my tv is brokem |
NEVERfade
07.03.10 | I dont know thats why im asking, just seeing what fans of those genres think |
Dryden
07.03.10 | is it for a project |
Alucard125
07.03.10 | Bands automatically become less cool when everyone knows about them.
Fun fact for the day. |
NEVERfade
07.03.10 | yeahh Alucard125 knows what im talking about |
Yeahtoast
07.03.10 | If you like the music don't let popularity or anything else stop you from listening to it. That's stupid. |
KILL
07.03.10 | all these songs rule |
ButcheredChildren
07.03.10 | the only band in your list that is considered death metal is Carcass, At The Gates would be pushing it.

07.03.10 | @ ButcheredChildren
*facepalm*
@scream
thanks for the recs.
@NEVERfade
yea, i wouldn't like them as much. exception being, metallica. i will always like the old stuff. death would be another one of those bands that i would definitely still like if everyone knew about them. other bands, such as, idk, Hellhammer or Morbid Angel, i would probably lose interest. |
TheFacemore
07.03.10 | Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thunder God
Augury - Concealed
Brutality - Screams of Anguish
Death - Symbolic
Decapitated Winds of Creation
Deicide - Scars of the Crucifix
Vader - Litany |
TheAngryPelican
07.03.10 | TheFacemore, thank youh.
But some of those i wouldn't consider "new" (Death - Symbolic, Deicide - Scars of the Crucifix) because the bands are a part of the original death metal movement, which i frequently listen to.
but thanks for the others, i will check them out. :) |
TheFacemore
07.03.10 | O, I thought that you just needed new music. In terms of new death metal,
Claws - Absorbed in the Nevervoid
Creepmime - Chiaroscuro
Asphyx - Death... The Brutal Way
Amoral - Decrowning
Quo Vadis - Defiant Imagination |
Dryden
07.03.10 | ButcheredChildren gives the same boring recs all the time |
DeafMetal
07.03.10 | I don't think death metal and black metal would exist if they were really popular. Obscurity goes hand in hand with both genres. So when you get popular subgenres like deathcore, the real metalheads stay away. |
Ire
07.03.10 | butcheredchildren gives bad recs
I'll have to ban him another week from metal. |
Zip
07.03.10 | ehh Deathcore can be good at times when it's not swamped with vomit vox and breakdowns |
TBliss
07.03.10 | Fleshrot |
DeafMetal
07.03.10 | Trve that. |
Zip
07.03.10 | That's definitely not the kind of death he'd be in to given the list. |

07.04.10 | "I don't think death metal and black metal would exist if they were really popular. Obscurity goes hand in hand with both genres. So when you get popular subgenres like deathcore, the real metalheads stay away."
uhm, no.. just no. deathcore isnt simply popular death metal, death metal is ALWAYS death metal because what defines it is musical style, not whether or not it attracts the wannabe metal head elite. |
TheAngryPelican
07.04.10 | @fruity:
thank youh.

DeafMetal
07.04.10 | Pelican: Obviously you missed what I was saying completely. It's okay though, enjoy Wintersun. |
