Antipunk 10.18.10	try out some these arms are snakes. ive been digging them lately.
Masochist 11.16.10	Right...I know this is a month late, but I'll throw down anyways (complete with little snippets for each album): Anchor & Braille - 'Felt' - This is the side project of Anberlin's Stephen Christian. It's a bit softer than that band, but it'sstill really good for entirely different reasons. It's pretty mellow without being a drag, and there are some rather upbeat tunes (for example, "Like Steps In A Dance"). Check it out for #'s 2, 4 and 5. Beloved - 'Failure On' - A post-hardcore album that needs a bit more love. Reminiscent of 'Vheissu...'-era Thrice--aggressive but melodic, and moments of brilliant guitar work. Check it out for #'s 11 and 17. Mae - 'The Everglow' - One of my favorite albums, I actually can't believe you don't have this rated. Mae is a Pop-Rock band like Jimmy Eat World--able to take the same types of song structures and ideas and turn them into something absolutely breathtaking and fresh...especially when a piano is involved. If you check out no other album I recommend, at least grab this one. Sleep Parade - 'Things Can Always Change' - Awesome Aussie Prog-Rock a-la Porcupine Tree. For a pretty unknown band with probably little funding, they certainly threw down on their debut. For #24, but more for the general good ratings you've given to other Prog-Rock bands (especially PT). Starflyer 59 - 'Talking Voice vs. Singing Voice' or 'Dial M' - One of my favorite bands. They switch from Shoegaze to Dream Pop to Indie to all-out Rock pretty easily, but those two albums are my recommendations specifically for you. I think 'TVvSV' is probably their best overall, with beautiful songs ("Easy Street;" "Softness Goodness") and some upbeat shoegaze ("Good Sons"). 'Dial M' is awesome, too...a bit more stripped back, a little slower, more personal. Tried to get you something similar to #25. Zero 7 - 'Simple Things' - Blends the line between Smooth Jazz, old-school R&B, Electronica and Trip-Hop. Really, it's just a pretty album to listen to (some songs don't even have words). Another one for #25, though they don't sound similar to each other, really. Hope this helps a bit!
