11.06.10 | Mark points on the riffs where the vocals and the riff hit the same beat, then just work it from there. That's how I used to work playing bass and singing. It helps if you write both the riff down, then put the vocal phrasing above it, just to see where the rhythms hit the same place, then work from there. You should have it down in a day or two that way (or i did anyway). And yeah, make sure you know both parts like the back of your hand, and don't try and overconcentrate. Just let it flow. |
