11.12.10 | @SD - Shoegaze is a genre that is characterized by soundscapes rather than catchy riffs or hooks. The guitars are distorted to the point of fuzziness and then layered with multiple effects, while the vocals are hardly ever front and center, and more often than not they act as simply another instrument. The product is usually very a different and beautiful sounding rock.
I think you might like it. Considering your indie rock binge, I might suggest the following albums:

11.12.10 | @Chrisjon - Native Tongues...I've been digging Black Sheep for a good while now, and ATCQ is always a constant listen (one of the biggest artists from my hip-hop kick for me)
@geng - I have a feeling I'll soon be going through a similar phase , as well. I recently got some Trip-Hop and Flying Lotus's 'Cosmogramma', and I'm always looking for stuff reminiscent of BT (my favorite Trance artist, who I recommend). Hope I can find more of that kind of stuff.
