About # 45, I urge you to get 'Harmonium en Tournée'. It's 'L'Heptade' live without its superfluous. Simply perfect, trust me. |

01.03.11 | Thanks! There's a more than good reason for you to feel at home here: I've gotten more than half of these albums from your recs! I'll check out that album, sounds cool. |

01.03.11 | Great list. I nominate Fireball (1971) by Deep Purple also. |
Nagrarok
01.03.11 | Deep Purple were hardly prog, they were influenced by it at some points but never made it their own. If you liked 17 you should definitely listen to Crime of the Century, it's their best, and most proggiest at that (they always had something poppy but BIA increased that a great deal). This reminds me I should listen to 4 again, it's just such a lovely piece of work.
And keep on progging in 2011 indeed! |

01.03.11 | Some other suggestions, if you like ELP:
Le Orme - Uomo di Pezza
Triumvirat - Illusions on a double dimple
Triumvirat - Spartacus
Yezda Urfa - Boris
I also could see you liking some Genesis, Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM), Renaissance (folk prog), Focus, Steve Vai annnd stuff like:

01.03.11 | Thank you, all! I thought about including Deep Purple, but, as Nag said, I wasn't particularly sure that it was proggy enough. I'll listen to all those recs, a few of them, such as Genesis and Triumvirat, I've been meaning to listen to for a while already. |
