Classic Prog

Of all the things I gained from Sputnik, a love for classic prog is probably the one I'm most grateful for. Granted, I've always liked bands such as Jethro Tull and Pink Floyd, but I've recently discovered an incredible amount of great stuff in the genre. Here's some of my favorites, not in any particular order.
1Jethro Tull
Heavy Horses

Subjectively, my favorite Tull album, even though Thick As A Brick is better.
2Pink Floyd
Animals

Best Floyd album, but WYWH comes pretty close.
3Comus
First Utterance
4Harmonium
Si On Avait Besoin d'une 5ieme Saison

Canadian folk/prog. Anybody vaguely interested in the genre needs this ASAP, it's an easy 5 for me.
5Yes

6Rick Wakeman
The Six Wives Of Henry VIII
7King Crimson
In The Court Of The Crimson King

15Yes
The Yes Album
16Carmen
Fandangos In Space

A mix of prog and flamenco, rather unique. One of Jethro Tull's bassists plays here.
17Supertramp
Breakfast in America

Disregard the album art; this is pretty good.
18The Alan Parsons Project
Tales of Mystery & Imagination
19Emerson Lake And Palmer
Tarkus
20Strawbs
Hero and Heroine
21Uriah Heep
Demons And Wizards

The Secret Language Of Birds

A relatively recent release but it's in the style of Heavy Horses/Songs From the Woods with a touch of Indian influence. Very refreshing after years and years of pointless Jethro Tull albums.
40King Crimson
Larks' Tongues in Aspic

Book Of Saturday is my favorite KC song (along with Epitaph). Really great album.
41Horslips
The Man Who Built America

Great album, though I prefer Book Of Invasions by a fair margin.
42Camel
The Snow Goose
43Jeff Beck
Beck-Ola
44Electric Light Orchestra
Time
45Harmonium
L'Heptade

The weakest of their albums, imo, but still excellent.

50Jethro Tull
