Some Recs For You
These are some albums that aren't supper l33t but it suprises me
when someone has never heard it. |
1 | | Prick Prick
If you Like NIN you will probably like this quirky album. The album was
produced by Reznor and released on Nothing Records. If you like it you can
move on the the next album "Wreckard". |
2 | | Starlight Mints The Dream That Stuff Was Made Of
You'll like it if you like MGMT "Flash Delirium". They sound amazingly similar
to that song except this album came out in 2000. |
3 | | crowbar Odd Fellows Rest
You will love this album if you love JUN JUN. |
4 | | pavement Slanted and Enchanted
This album is the epitome of 90's indie and this group has an unbelievable
following for never having had any main stream success. |
5 | | sausage Riddles are abound tonight
Primus.... it is Primus... |
6 | | Ashok Plans
Still beating this drum. If you like British rap/hip-hop like The Streets, Prof.
Green or some Tricky then you will like this. Add Florence Welsh of Florence
and the Machine who co wrote and co stared on this album and you have a
unique vibe you'll be glad to add to your repertoire. |
7 | | Iron Horse Fade to Bluegrass
Pretty self explanatory really. Bluegrass tribute to the kings of metal. |
8 | | Iron Horse Pickin on Modest Mouse
This would be one of my favorite finds. I purchased it from a record store on
a lark and have been amazing and impressing people with it ever since. It's
a bluegrass tribute to Modest mouse and a treat to find that Isaac Brock's
lyrics stand up to other genre's of music. |
9 | | Lagwagon Live In A Dive
Live in a Dive is a series recorded and released by Fat Wreck Chords and
this is an exceptional album. If you are a fan of Lagwagon or Punk in
general and have not picked this up you are doing yourself a great
disservice. |
10 | | R.E.M. Live at the Borderline
Appearing for two nights in a row at the Borderline in London on March 15
1991 someone had the wherewithal to bring a recorder the next night and
one of the greatest bootlegs of all time was born. 2 disk set of R.E.M. and
guests doing multiple covers, cracking a few jokes and contributing a rather unorthodox rendition of Tom's Dinner. No R.E.M. fans collection is complete
with out this unofficial release. |
