2010's Top Ten

Bestest of the bestest.
10Gorillaz
Plastic Beach

A stronger sense of cohesiveness would have helped this album out, but the retro stylings of its many songs are incredibly catchy.
9Sufjan Stevens
The Age Of Adz

I haven't "shed tears on the beauty" of this album, by any means, but Sufjan's got my respect with the stronger tracks on the album.
8Kanye West
my Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Over-rated, but it has its charms for sure. Lost in the World is terrific.
7Dark Time Sunshine
Vessel

What a vessel Dark Time Sunshine takes us on- so many catchy hooks to be found.
6Amia Venera Landscape
The Long Procession

Its main problem is how bloated it is; although it could have been easily slimmed down, many incredibly powerful moments make this album steadily climb the ranks of 2010.
5The Contortionist
Exoplanet

The melodic parts of this one are some of the most powerful pieces of music I've ever heard.
4Foals
Total Life Forever

An amazing progression, this album shows complete maturity on Foals' part, and a sense of direction, albeit not perfect.
3Shearwater
The Golden Archipelago

Reminiscent of Bon Iver's "For Emma, Forever Ago", this one is beautifully peaceful and well-done.
2Dillinger Escape Plan
Option Paralysis

Blunt, abrasive mathy-metal that about never gets old.
1Orbs
Asleep Next To Science

Severely under-rated, and innovative in all the right ways for a geek like me.
