03.26.11 | Wow this is probably the most painfully bad list I've ever made. |
Hawks
03.26.11 | Amia Venera Landscape - The Long Procession
Killswitch Engage - The End of Heartache
All That Remains - The fall of Ideals
Parkway Drive - Horizons
Poison the Well - The Opposite of December
Misery Signals - Of Malice and the Magnum Heart
I'm no expert on metalcore at all, but these are some albums that I like in the genre. |
fr33convict
03.26.11 | lol hawks i would have never guessed you like parkway drive. |
Aids
03.26.11 | just take out your dick
it's what she really wants |
Aids
03.26.11 | or make her listen to Converge
either way she'll probably be disgusted |
Hawks
03.26.11 | My friend got me into Parkway Drive haha. They're actually on of the better bands I've heard in the genre tbh. |
dixoncocks
03.26.11 | Take aids advice about using your dick. |
hellpickle
03.26.11 | Deftones album seems out of nowhere. |
Trebor.
03.26.11 | Undoing Ruin and The Eternal Return by Darkest Hour kick ass |
Inveigh
03.26.11 | idk Killing With a Smile by Parkway Drive used to be huge guilty pleasure of mine.
Poison the Well - The Tropic Rot (prolly the easiest one for her to get into)
Misery Signals - Controller
Kvelertak - Kvelertak
Converge - Axe to Fall
Coalesce - Ox
Botch - We Are the Romans
I'd suggest them in that order too... |
InFiction
03.26.11 | Show her Architects. They're definitely one of the better metalcore bands out there. Each of their albums has something
different to offer too so get her to listen to all of them.
Maybe start with Ruin or Hollow Crown. Or if she doesn't like them right away, try The Here and Now, as it's probably
much more accessible but nowhere near as good. |
Trebor.
03.26.11 | Misery Signals |
nick77
03.26.11 | Counterparts |
YetAnotherBrick
03.26.11 | Be sure to take all Botch, Converge, Poison the Well, and Misery Signals reccs.
But also:
Cave In - Until Your Heart Stops
The Secret - Luce
Taken - Between Two Unseens (EP)
And maybe some Dillinger Escape Plan. I've found that chicks dig the Puciato stuff more than Calculating Infinity, you know, for the more varied vocals and softer/more accessible parts and such, haha. |
Arked
03.26.11 | He wants albums easy to enjoy and you people are recommending Converge, Coalesce, Botch or Dillinger Escape Plan? Come on... On the other hand expanding music tastes don't have to be easy. But still in my opinion Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, Parkway Drive and Misery Signals (Controller) are best recs here.
My recs (more easy enjoyable than expanding tastes):
Bury Tomorrow - Portraits
Across the Sun - Pestilence & Rapture
It Prevails - Capture & Embrace
Caliban - The Awakening
Times of Grace - Hymn of a Broken Man

03.26.11 | just play la d and get laid.f |
Thanatopsis
03.26.11 | Definitely give Protest the Hero-Kezia a shot. They're not exactly metalcore, but they are poppy, catchy, heavy at times, and awesome, if she can get past Rody's polarizing vocals. Old Chiodos is also a good choice, particularly All's Well That Ends Well. The Devil Wears Prada-Plagues is pretty accessible, if generic. Alesana-On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax is very "girl-friendly", in my experience. The Color Morale-We All Have Demons is a great post-hardcore/metalcore album; "Humannequin" should have her hooked. Pushing into deathcore, Beween the Buried and Me is challenging to some, but is worth the effort. The Crimson Armada-Guardians is catchy/fun as fuck. Also, she couldn't go wrong with Born of Osiris-The Discovery or Parkway Drive-Horizons. |
Strider
03.26.11 | Every time I Die is definitely one of the most fun Metalcore acts out there |
Mewcopa0
03.26.11 | l33t |
BlueW
03.26.11 | 7 angels 7 plagues
The Contortionist
Misery Signals
Periphery
Tell her djent is the new metalcore, and jump in the bandwagon before it gets to blown up |
dnor
03.26.11 | i refuse to rec generi-mainstream-core to anybody, and seeing how the only metalcore bands i like are botch and converge, who i highly doubt she'd be able to get into...i think i'll rec you good technical deathcore she'll enjoy.
the faceless-akeldama
the contortionist-exoplanet

dnor
03.26.11 | also, I love seeing the Sputnikers come out and try SO hard to rec bands they KNOW this girl won't like...
