04.13.11 | See if you can find liledman's jazz list. Quite a bit of fusion on there and he knows it way better than me and most, if not all on this site.
But try Miles Davis 'In A Silent Way'. It's the album just before Bitches Brew but nowhere near as chaotic. Maybe not really fusion but it kind of defies all genre tags. Stellar group of musicians on it. I can't really compare it to anything else cos I dunno anything else that sounds like it. Hypnotic album.
Also maybe 'A Tribute to Jack Johnson'. Similar line-up and this time it's basically rock music. And tons of funky riffs and stuff. |
