Albums That Got Me Into Hardcore, And My Change In Taste

The first five albums are the stuff that I first listened to when I was getting into hardcore, and the last five are the stuff that I listen to now. As you can tell, my taste has changed dramatically.
1What Got Me Into The Genre

The five bands below I only listen to because of nostalgia. And it's rare that I'll
listen to them. Even though I still listen to some of this stuff, I'm not that fond
of it.
2Alesana
The Emptiness

I honestly don't mind Alesana too much. They have some decent songs and the
clean singing is really good. Dennis Lee's screams get a little annoying though.
All in all, they're not too bad. There's definitely worse.
3Escape The Fate
Dying Is Your Latest Fashion

I loved Escape The Fate with Ronnie. I still standby this album not having a bad
track. I used to listen to this all the time and it still sticks with me somewhat.
4Bring Me The Horizon
Count Your Blessings

I think Pray For Plagues was the first hardcore song I had ever listened to. I love
this album because it helped get me to where I am now. I don't like the new
album, but I don't mind Suicide Season. The band's extremely overrated
though. Count Your Blessings is a solid deathcore release though in my opinion.
The guitar is great.
5Asking Alexandria
Stand Up And Scream

The only thing I can really say about this album is it's so fun. I mean, they're a
pretty bad band but this album has catchy choruses and catchy breakdowns and
that's all I cared about at the time. It's not horrible. Their new album and the
Life Gone Wild EP are definitely worse, even though Reckless And Relentless has
more mature songwriting.
6Attack Attack!
Someday Came Suddenly

I don't really like this album that much and I like the self-titled much more. I
hardly ever really listen to them though. Both Austin and Caleb are good
vocalists if you ask me though and they have fun breakdowns and the songs
are catchy.
7What I Listen To Now

I love this stuff.
8 La Dispute
Somewhere At The Bottom Of The River Between Vega And Altair

One of my favorite albums of all time. The lyrical content is ridiculously good and
there's not a bad song on this album. Truly amazing. And awesome live.
9Defeater
Lost Ground

I love all of Defeater's stuff so much. The band is incredible and amazing live. I
love how they recycle the lyrics from album to album and from song to song but
doing it in a way where it still fits the other lyrics.
10Touche Amore
...To The Beat Of A Dead Horse

I love the vocals and how short their songs are, but the fact that they still have
a redeeming quality. The new album is my favorite by them but they're
incredible.
11All's Quiet
Like Vultures

One of the best bands I've ever heard honestly. It's southern infused metalcore.
The vocalist is so great and all the instrumentation is fabulous. I also love the
five singles they've released aside from this. They're from my hometown too.
12The Ghost Inside
Returners

One of my favorite, if not my favorite, metalcore band. They have awesome
breakdowns and the lyrics are really uplifting and good. The drumming is very
rhythmic and compliments everything perfectly.
