| Warped Tour Was Really Fucking Good
So I was really surprised, doing some searching for the festival today
gave me good reasons to go. List is bands I saw today, no disappointments. | 1 | | Moving Mountains Pneuma
Sounded like Vheissu-Thrice at times live but they were a perfect way to
start the day put on a fantastic show. Can't wait to see them again with
Thrice in the fall. | 2 | | Middle Class Rut No Name No Color
Caught these guys completely by accident while eating lunch. Had never
heard of them before but was pleasantly surprised, for sure plan on giving
their album a listen soon. | 3 | | Against Me! White Crosses
Great band, especially live. Tom doesn't do much crowd interaction but you
can tell he loves what he does. The set seemed pretty White Crosses
heavy, regardless it was an awesome show. Cannot wait to see them
again at The Fest. | 4 | | The Wonder Years Suburbia: I've Given You All and Now I'm Nothing
I don't like pop punk much, many singers of the genre tend to be a bit too
whiny for me. Regardless if that's just a generalization or not I like these
guys. The crowd was ridiculously into it and everything sounded perfect. It
did get pretty crazy so I had to step for a little while. Not much from
Suburbia, which I prefer to The Upsides, but still a great show. | 5 | | Big D and the Kid's Table How It Goes
Second time seeing these guys, even better than last time (also at
warped). A ton of energy, and they focused more on there more punk-y
songs. South Florida always goes crazy for ska bands and this was no
exception. | 6 | | The Aggrolites Dirty Reggae
Not a fan of reggae, these guys were great though. Lots of crowd
interaction and just a lot of fun. Probably won't go further into looking into
them, but if they're ever at a festival or warped again then I wouldn't turn
down seeing them. Oh, and I saw them while waiting for the next band. | 7 | | Larry and His Flask Ep
Honestly the one reason I considered going to this to begin with. Seeing
them before Streetlight Manifesto earlier this year, they blew me away, and
sealed themselves as one of the best shows I've ever been to. The amount
of energy they have is ridiculous, and the crowd was awesome beyond
belief. Quite the hoedown. I actually saw them twice, at each stop they do
multiple sets a day, so I happened to catch one of their multiple sets before
their actual stage performance. If you go to Warped Tour and don't see this
band you're missing out. Seriously, one of the best if not the best band
there. | 8 | | Sharks The Joys Of Living 2008-2010
Only found out about these guys last week, and only because I thought
their name was pretty cool. I could honestly see them becoming a favorite
of mine. They're pretty similar I feel to The Gaslight Anthem, who are one of
my favorite bands.so if you like them then definitely check out SHARKS, tons
of energy with some really great songs. | 9 | | The Menzingers Chamberlain Waits
Actually my second time these guys, the first being while they toured with
Title Fight/Touche Amore. Soooo much energy, they singer/guitarist was all
over the place. Another band you should check out if you like The Gaslight
Anthem. Also a pretty perfect close to my day at Warped. | 10 | | Pepper No Shame
Like I said I don't really like reggae, I also said The Menzingers closed out
my day at warped, but I happened to listen to these guys while waiting for
a friend outside the SHARKS tent. While I don't like the music too much,
these guys are hilarious and they, like a lot of bands, had lots of energy.
Anyways this was definitely my favorite Warped tour out of the 3 i've gone,
at no part of the day was there anything disappointing. | |
