05.28.07 | Actually, I only know the intro which is the easiest part. But that was when I first started playing, so I'll check out some other parts. |

05.28.07 | Anesthesia: Pulling Teeth by Metallica is an excellent bass solo you ought to check out. And anything by Iron Maiden is incredibly fun on bass, try The Trooper. |

astrel
05.28.07 | Umm...The bassline to The Mars Volta - Roulette Dares is awesome, even if it is the same as the guitar in parts. I always thought Interpol - Slow Hands had a kick-ass bassline as well. |
astrel
05.28.07 | I might do a similar list like this in which I ask for songs to drum to. |
rockstar18
05.28.07 | Learn Jerry Was A Race Car Driver by Primus. |
Altmer
05.28.07 | Peace Sells - Megadeth
anything by Dream Theater |
spoon_of_grimbo
05.28.07 | i've always found "aeroplane" by RCHP fun to play, as well as "world's on heroin" by ALL (or any ALL or Descendents song tbh, karl alvarez is a fucking demon on bass!).
a lot of the stuff on "rust in peace" by megadeth is fun to play, by virtue of the fact that it often follows the guitars, which are insane on that album.
and this last idea is merely a suggestion, because i've never found any decent tabs or tried to work it out myself, but judging by the amount of crazy fills he throws in, jason black's basslines on "fuel for the hate game" and "forever and counting" by hot water music, i imagine would be fun to play. |
Serpento
05.28.07 | As far as punk bassing goes, Thrice's first 2 albums own most anything. Rancid's got a pretty kickass bassist too, despite him being kinda gimmicky. Try Maxwell Murder, Axiom, Black Lung, or Dope Sick Girl by them.
Roulette Dares' bassline is so damn simple. |
Yazz_Flute
05.28.07 | most RHCP has awesome bass...Naked in the Rain has a kickass bass line, and hump de bump actually doesn too. |
MikeShOck
05.28.07 | if you like Jazz you can try some songs of john patitucci or jaco pastorius
If you like punk try with Rancid ( maxwell murder has a great bass solo, difficult)
if you like slap try with this songs:
RHCP- stone cold bush
RHCP- get up and jump
RHCP- Higher Ground (cover)
RHCP- naked in the rain |
Yield
05.28.07 | King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid Man has a pretty cool bass line. |

05.28.07 | Like The Angel-Rise Against has an awesome bass intro |
ThePrimer
06.16.07 | The Dance of Eternity by Dream Theater has some cool bass shreddin' :P |
