Songs I Wish I Could Play On Guitar.
I've been playing guitar for about two months, I just know a handful of riffs and the most common chords. I'm gonna start taking lessons eventually, and it's not exactly a top priority to play guitar, I just do it as a hobby. However, eventually I hope to be able to play these full songs for whatever reason I may list. |
1 | The Fall of Troy F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.
Simply put, this song is pretty technical. I've read the tabs before, it looks really challening. The rhythm seems very odd. (I know nothing about music, it just seems that way.) i think it would just be a great song to be able to play in front of my friends because we're all fans of The Fall of Troy. 2 | Explosions in the Sky Your Hand in Mine
I absolutely love EitS, and this song is one of my favorites. It's so beautiful, and it looks relatively complex. I think that this song could work well for an acoustic. It'd just be a song to play and feel utterly relaxed and calm, something to play to unwind from the day. I would be very satisfied with myself if I could play it. |
3 | Minus the Bear Absinthe Party at the Fly Honey Warehouse
I've been a huge fan of Minus the Bear for about a year now. I listened to Menos el Oso first, then Planets of Ice, and then Highly Refined Pirates. The second I heard the song start playing for the first time, I immediately noticed the calm but seemingly technical riff. It would just be great to play and a good song to practice pull offs on. |
4 | Red Hot Chili Peppers Can't Stop
Can't Stop is one of my favorite songs by RHCP. Their guitarist is in MY opinion, one of the best of all time. He is an ideal balance of technical ability, creativity, and innovation. Reading the tabs, I think this song would just be really fun to play. I would be entertained the entire time. |
5 | Foo Fighters The Pretender
I'm a huge fan of Dave Grohl, and of Foo Fighters of course. I think The Pretender is a pretty good song, not one of my absolute favorites by them. That being said, the song sounds like it would be a moderate challenge to play, and would be a great song to play for friends or other things. |
6 | The Strokes The Modern Age
Is This It is one of my absolute favorite albums, and I've really been digging it again recently. The Modern Age has a catchy riff, and doesn't sound TOO challenging. This being said, I think the solo is pretty awesome. If I could play it I would be pretty satisfied with myself. |
7 | Tool Lateralus
I listened to Lateralus for the first time last year right around this month. I was in love with the album, and it really showed me how in-depth, experimental, and artistic side of what music can be. Lateralus is a personal favorite from the album, as the intro riff just sounds great. I have yet to look into this song, but knowing Tool, it's probably fairly difficult. |
8 | Radiohead Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
In Rainbows was the first album I listened to by Radiohead and I was instantly impressed. I would want to play this song for the same reason as Your Hand in Mine. |
9 | Coheed and Cambria Everything Evil
Claudio Sanchez is just incredible. This riff sounds really difficult, but maybe I just think that because most of Coheed and Cambria's stuff is pretty technical. Or maybe it isn't. I don't know anything about music. My point is that this song has an amazing riff, and just sounds incredible. |
10 | Biffy Clyro Eradicate the Doubt
Awesome band, amusing album cover, great album, funky riff. It would be a great song to warm up with after I knew how to play it well. |
11 | Red Hot Chili Peppers Scar Tissue
I know what you're thinking, 'OMG YOU SAID RHCP TWICE ON THE LIST U SUK LUL', well I don't really care. This is just a great song and is one of their more difficult songs in my non-expert opinion. Would be fun to play. Nuff said. |
12 | Arctic Monkeys A Certain Romance
My favorite song by AM, a song that's just always entertaining with every part. It's just a universal mood kind of song. It's fairly long, too. It couldn't be too hard. But I don't know. |
13 | alexisonfire 44. Calibur Love Letter
Sounds great. One of the first song i listened to by them. its just awesome. |
14 | System of a Down Chop Suey |
15 | Incubus Paper Shoes |
16 | pmtoday Sad World |
17 | The Strokes Alone, Together |
18 | Minus the Bear We Are Not a Football Team |
19 | The Sound of Animals Fighting Act I: Chasing Suns |
20 | Thrice Image of the Invisible |
