12.09.11 | my sennheisers are great and the cushioning on them actually cancels out a lot of noise |

12.09.11 | go with the Senns. I actually use Bose buds for casual days and they sound good, but for headphones its Grado or Senns so there u go. |
ComfortablyDumb
12.09.11 | I know it's cool to hate on Bose but it really depends what you're going to be using them for.
I have a pair of Bose QC15s and I wouldn't trade them for any other headphones (yes, I've tried Sennheisers and yes, they DO sound better), but my commute to university on city buses takes about 45 mins x2 per day, so noise canceling is HUGE for me, and the noise canceling on the QC15s is fantastic. Also, the majority of the other headphones I've tried (Senns included) have moderate to high levels of sound leakage, so I'd feel like kind of a dick if I was listening to music in a library and everyone around me could hear it. Sound leakage on the QC15s is minimal.
If I was just planning to listen to music at home, I'd go with Senns. But because of these other factors, I had to go with Bose.
I actually have a pair of sennheiser earbuds too, but I just use them for working out (great sound quality and they never fall out of my ears) |

12.10.11 | Sennheiser beats Bose in every category at the same price range. Go to head-fi.org and you will get beat up comparing Bose to Sennheiser. |
Gilgamahesh
12.10.11 | Fuck Bose. You getting OEMs? Senn makes some very great ones, but there are some you should avoid as well. I second the use of head-fi. But if you ever want IEMs...

12.10.11 | And ILJAJLM, go with the HD 518 if you are 1) Ok with a lack of bass and 2) Understand that they need more than average output power to perform with 100% bass capability.
If you're cool with those two things then the HD 518 is probably one of the best values in its price range.

12.11.11 | You first need to listen to the headphones with forms of music you generally listen to.
You ignore brand, you use your ears and make your choice within the bounds of your available cash. Yeah sure I could rec you some cool stuff but it ultimately comes down to you and your preference, not the preferences of others |

12.11.11 | Bose is horrendous. Never buy any of their products. |
