| Five Essentials Of 2011
2011 has been a year full of amazing releases! Because of this making a top list this year is quite hard. Instead, I present to you a list to five essential albums that came out last year that I highly recommend! | 5 | | Owen Ghost Town
With intricate guitar riffs, moody atmosphere, and mellow melodies Owen's Ghost Town is an incredible album from start to finish. | 4 | | Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate) Home After Three Months Away
Home After Three Months Away is incredibly melodic and succinct as compared to their previous full length. Not only this, but it still has the compelling emotional impact of an epic due to Empire Empire's intricate lyrics, vocal delivery, and musical capabilities. | 3 | | La Dispute Wildlife
Feeling more like a full length Here, Hear album, Wildlife is one of La Dispute's most focused release. Best part of the album is the lyrics and vocal delivery. Very unique and amazing overall. | 2 | | Trophy Scars Never Born, Never Dead
Pretty much one of the most epic releases last year. Not much more else can be said about this that already has not been said. | 1 | | Dir en grey DUM SPIRO SPERO
One of the best international releases I've heard come out last year. Dir En Grey crafted pretty much their most aggressive and heavy record which gives their American counter-parts a run for their money. Not only is this album heavy but it does share its softer and more melody driven songs. | |
