Porcupinetreeology
The Porcupine Tree albums in order of preference. |
10 | | Porcupine Tree The Incident
A very fine recording overall. It's easily the least original album by the band, but it's still a good record. Best song: The Incident |
9 | | Porcupine Tree On the Sunday of Life
An underrated first record. The band could only move forward from here, but already the signs of musical greatness were evident. Best song: Radioactive Toy |
8 | | Porcupine Tree Fear of a Blank Planet
This album is more on the alternative rock side of things. Very well done by the band. Best song: Anesthetize |
7 | | Porcupine Tree Lightbulb Sun
A very good record in general. PT delivers here one of it's "progggier" records of the commercial era (more longplaying). Best song: Shesmovedon |
6 | | Porcupine Tree Deadwing
Very epic record. Yet another fine offering off of the band's commercial output. Best song: Open Car |
5 | | Porcupine Tree In Absentia
Possibly the best known PT record. While it is very well made, in my opinion it isn't their best record. Nevertheless, it is very memorable. Best song: Blackest Eyes |
4 | | Porcupine Tree Signify
This album is so good. Screw the song titles, it's a one unit listen. The last record of their psychedelic era. Best song: Sever |
3 | | Porcupine Tree Up the Downstair
This album owns. Yet another perfect delivery by this great band. Pity most PT fans forget their early years too easily. Best song: Up the Downstair. |
2 | | Porcupine Tree The Sky Moves Sideways
An often forgotten record in their catalog. This album is just perfect. Best song: The Sky Moves Sideways pt. 1 |
1 | | Porcupine Tree Stupid Dream
My favourite PT record. This album just owns hard. Great musicianship throughout. Best song: Slave Called Shiver |
