04.05.12 | Needs more math metal. Therefore, Protest the Hero, Meshuggah, Deftones. 1 is a beautiful album. |
Veldin
04.05.12 | Oh, btw, I'm looking for more math-rock, but mathcore recs don't hurt. |
Wolfhorde
04.05.12 | 3nd, Don Caballero, (And So I Watch You From Afar), Adebisi Shank, BATS, Vessels bla bla ect. Japan has a lot of this "math" stuff. (mostly sounds pretty similar though) |
Maniac!
04.05.12 | off-topic, but calculus suuuuuuuuuuuuucks |
Butkuiss
04.05.12 | INTEGRATE THAT BITCH LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER |

04.05.12 | I'm with you Maniac. What the hell is the point of a derivative anyway? |
Veldin
04.05.12 | Ooh, I don't know why I forgot to mention DEP. :/ |
Butkuiss
04.05.12 | INTEGRATE THAT BITCH INTO YOUR LIFE AND FIND THE AREA UNDER HER CURVES. |
deathofasalesman
04.05.12 | 31knots is great math rock. Underrated as hell too. If you have an open-mind you'll probably dig "Talk Like Blood" from their discog. |
clercqie
04.05.12 | "What the hell is the point of a derivative anyway?"

04.05.12 | "What the hell is the point of a derivative anyway?"
Derivatives are how nearly every major equation in mathematics and engineering sciences has been found broski... |
PurpleDino
04.05.12 | as much as I hate maths, calculus is just about the single most important and useful part of the subject |
ILJ
04.05.12 | THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN
And I like how what you did there.
Yeah, derivatives are incredibly important bro. I'm not even very far in calculus and I know that. I don't have a problem with difficult math when it actually has applications.
Now when they ask you to find the derivative of the third root of the quantity natural log of x divided by cos of x +1, that's the shit that irritates me. |
PistolPete
04.05.12 | Hard to believe that 2 and 3 have the same guitarist sometimes. Dave's really talented. |
guitarnater
04.05.12 | As important as it is, I will certainly never use it in life, and still have to learn it anyways. |
jefflebowski
04.05.12 | do minus the bear count as math-rock now? |
Secks
04.05.12 | @guitarnater
Unless you've already been through college or aren't expecting to go to college, you'd be surprised. I never thought I would be using too much math but I ultimately ended up transferring to Aerospace Engineering where I've come to appreciate the fuck out of math. |
clercqie
04.05.12 | Aerospace Engineering, that's so cool man |
guitarnater
04.05.12 | The only thing that I may ever be interested in that would include even high school level math would be dealing with computers, but that's really not what I'm looking into at all anymore. |

04.05.12 | Hella - Hold Your Horse Is |
ITsHxCTOASTER
04.05.12 | I've done great in math so far and I'm currently doing horrible in calculus so yeah calculus sucks |

05.11.12 | For 1, listen to all of TFoT albums ( minus "In The Unlikely Event");
3 is spot-on;
4 is not really "math", but if you like Converge, listen to "Jane Doe";
And 6, cool album, but do yourself a favor and listen to their Self-Titled. It's math-fuckery at its best.
Recs... The Dillinger Escape Plan, Protest The Hero, you know... the albums that on Sputnik get the best ratings lol |
