Goodbye 2015

I'd be lying if I told you this has been the best year of my life. Sure there's been highs but the amount of lows are much greater. The highs mostly being the good times I've had with friends and the concerts I've been lucky enough to go to. The lows being the people the world of entertainment has lost and also those I've lost personally. However musically it's been a good year, with some excellent albums being released by the artists you'd expect and also a few surprises. I have a feeling 2016 is going to be another great year music and for many people David Bowie's Blackstar is one of the year's most anticipated albums. It's funny to think one of the year's most talked about, head scratching and ambitious albums is coming from a 69 year old man. I suppose it's just a testament to the inspiration and seemingly endless creativity of David. Anyway this list features some albums I enjoyed this year (though not all were released this year). The first three are my albums of the year and the rest aren't in any order. Hope you all have a good new year and here's to a good 2016.
1Ghost (SWE)
Meliora

Probably the best live show I've been to and it was great to hear so many songs from Meliora performed. Probably the best album of this year and proof that Infestissumam was just a minor slip.

One of the most moving and powerful hardcore albums ever to grace this planet. If you haven't heard it already, you're missing out big time. For one reason or another this year I've always come back to this album and I'm sure I will for many years to come.

The Pale Emperor

Say what you want about Manson, if you can't stand him I won't blame you because ever since Holy Wood his music has often seemed like self parody. But thank god that period is over and The Pale Emperor is here. Filled with excellent song writing and dripping with atmosphere, this is definitely one of the biggest surprises of 2015.
56Bjork
Homogenic
