Twenty One Pilots, AWOLNATION, Max Frost

Saw the Twenty One Pilots Bandito Tour tonight on Long Island, with openers Max Frost and AWOLNATION. It was a family affair.

Low High Low

Never heard of this guy before, and didn't know he was playing. He did a kind of solo karaoke act to his own tapes. Not really to my taste.

Here Come The Runts

Last year, my family saw Twenty One Pilots without me, with Mutemath opening. These guys were better than expected, even though I've never liked that "Sail" song. But I'd have much rather seen Mutemath.

These guys are a mixed bag for me. I like some of their stuff, although I'm not a hip-hop fan, so the more hip-hop they include, the worse for me. (And can that effing drummer ever keep his shirt on?) But I have to say, they kill themselves to put on an entertaining show for their audience. They play off of two stages, they have a great and lights and FX show, and they've been doing 22 songs every night of the tour. I was entertained. (Sorry they didn't do "The Hype" though).
