Prepare To Get Your Mindblown

just some albums i have been listening to lately. some of you guys might not have heard some of these albums so if youre interested check them out
1Alchemist
Organasm

i got this since i was a huge fan of Tripsis, but imo this is even better! great blend of hardcore, prog, and sludge
2Bat For Lashes
Fur and Gold

for fans of Bjork, this is a really good album. the frontwoman is the main part of the band. just a real chill album with some poppy tunes
3Battalion
Welcome to the Warzone

solid death metal thats somewhat similar to Kataklysm
4Bloodbath
The Wacken Carnage

the new Bloodbath live album. the production is soso, but the band still rules on this. Akerfeldt is a beast.
5Boards of Canada
Music Has the Right To Children

finally started listening to this band. great album, hoping to get some more of their albums soon
6Coldworker
Rotting Paradise

a new band whos album is produced by Dan Swano. this sophomore death metal album is sick.
7Deltron 3030
Deltron 3030

now my second favorite hip-hop album. this is genius
8 Dylath-Leen
Seme?on

a somewhat new band that mixes melo-death and some black metal. they have both female (scream/clean) and male (growls) vocals that go pretty well together. this may take a few listens to get into. Balls might like this
9From A Second Story WIndow
Conversations

one of the better metalcore releases of this year. never cared for this band, but this album was really catchy but it doesnt get boring a few songs in
10Hail of Bullets
...Of Frost and War

another new death metal band that are just relentless from start to finish. for fans of Dismember
11A Lily
Wake:Sleep

a very relaxing ambient album
12Love
Forever Changes

this is a huge feel-good album.
13Opeth
Watershed

of course this was going to be on here, my fav release of this year so far. Opeth prove yet again why theyre my fav band.
14Paatos
Kallocain

female fronted prog rock. Akerfeldt loves this band so you should too
15PJ Harvey
To Bring You My Love

one of my fav female singers. she doesnt hold back lyrically, at times rather dark and twisted but her voice is gorgeous
16Scar Symmetry
Holographic Universe

this ismeh. after listening to a Miseration album its hard to fully enjoy this band. i still like it but it doesnt shine from the rest of the bunch
17Steel
Heavy Metal Machine

Akerfeldt and Swano team up to make the greatest heavy metal ep ever made. metal up the ass.
18Sun Kil Moon
April

finally got this. im loving it.
19The Tangent
Not As Good As the Book

ive been a fan of this band for a while, somewhat cheesy prog rock but something about them i really like. this is their new 2-disc album with lots of keyboards, solos, and they kind of decrease the amount of flute they normally have. if you like long prog songs then this is a must. their best imo
20Zero Hour
Dark Deceiver

one of my fav prog metal bands. this might be a contender for their best album. they wrote heavier songs for this album, and it works pretty well even though they keep the same style from their other albums. their bass player is sick, its nice to hear a band that lets the bass player shine throughout an album
