12.31.09 | I know it's a very hard rock-oriented list. | HolidayKirk
12.31.09 | Sometimes opinions are wrong. | EVedder27
12.31.09 | pretty good greg, some of these made mine | Observer
12.31.09 | Nice list man, some stuff i may eventually check out. | intothepit83
12.31.09 | wow, nu metal on a decade list... yikes! | greg84
12.31.09 | I bet you didn't even listen to the half of the nu-metal records posted. Besides, it's not such a great number of them at all. Various types of hard rock music dominate. | robertsona
12.31.09 | list is pretty ouch sorry | greg84
12.31.09 | Yeah, because you're keen on alternative/indie music I can't really get into. | 1994DazDillinger
12.31.09 | if your going to include crooked vultures on your list, ommitting QOTSA is a bit silly. | greg84
12.31.09 | Of course. It is. I totally forgot about them. Thanks for reminding me. I'll fix it. | Knott-
12.31.09 | list is full of things that i thought "wtf" about when i first read them but i would actually say that it seems fairly comprehensive in a certain sense and though it would benefit from a bit more diversity there are a lot of very good albums here. always nice to see 23 and 38. | greg84
12.31.09 | I guess more diversity wouldn't hurt. Still, I have difficulty getting used to mellower indie music and I generally don't listen to death/black metal because it just bores me. It's a matter of taste really. I like soul and funk and I don't know too many artists of this kind. | JWT155
12.31.09 | Great list. | greg84
12.31.09 | Thanks. Two major changes:
47. Polish mathcore/fuse band Neuma with their awesome debut that I've just uploaded to this site.
50. QOTSA I accidently forgot about. | DDconjoined
12.31.09 | good list me thinks White pony should be much higher tho. | 0ctahedronzz
12.31.09 | Kudos to the Clutch and Dog Fashion Disco. | greg84
01.01.10 | @DDconjoined: I also think it should be higher, but there is always a trouble with making lists such as this one. Basically, you have 20 albums that should end up in the TOP10.
@0ctahedronzz: Finally, a supporter of Clutch (yeah) and most surprisingly Dog Fashion Disco. I have no idea why they aren't huge on this site. | Treska
01.01.10 | 8 and 42 are cool. but other than that, i respectfully say i dont like any of youre music | greg84
01.01.10 | Well. At least you like 2 albums. I guess you haven't heard many of these. Some of them seem to be right up your alley. 5 is the best retro-rock album ever. You should also check out 7, 13 and 16 for some punk-inspired tunes. 29 and 45 sound like classic hard rock albums. | greg84
01.02.10 | Another alternation: Vex Red replaces QOTSA at 46 with their awesome debut album. I can't believe I forgot them. | crazyblinddude
01.03.10 | interesting list
2, 3, 12, 18, 31, 33, 44 are all deserve to be up there
i would say the list needs some some qotsa and brand new
but i can see you already edited out qotsa | AnotherBrick
01.03.10 | no indukti?!? still great stuff | greg84
01.03.10 | @crazyblinddude: Yeah. Rated R has been on my list for a few days. I seriously considered Brand New, but their albums, though great, didn't stand the competition. Probably, they would take the 52nd place if there was one. Thanks for mentioning Black Light Burns. I thought I was the only person who liked them here.
@AnotherBrick: Dude. They are very good, but not that good. I also shamelessly omitted Riverside and Porcupine Tree. Just preferred to include less-known progressive albums that mean much more for me. Check out 6, 13, 19, 20 and 24. | AnotherBrick
01.03.10 | i've checked out 19 before but ill be sure to look into the rest. i havent heard any of those otehrs | killrobotmusic
01.03.10 | Clutch kicks ass. | Chewie
01.03.10 | very good list. | greg84
01.04.10 | Thanks. I've just added my favorite tracks from every album included. | PayneTiger777
01.04.10 | You made a mistake with the songs on 43 and 44. | greg84
01.04.10 | Thx. Fixed. | greg84
01.06.10 | Some extra unneeded stats (number of albums per year):
2000 - 5
2001 - 7
2002 - 7
2003 - 4
2004 - 5
2005 - 4
2006 - 3
2007 - 4
2008 - 3
2009 - 8 | ElRodeo
01.15.10 | Great list! I dig a lot of these. Props for not forgetting Dog Fashion Disco. | AnotherBrick
01.15.10 | nothing wrong with this list at all, lots of this stuff rapes |
|
