Albums I've Been Getting Into Lately
These are albums that I either just got, or I have had them in my library for a while and I just started listening to them. In alphabetical order, pretty much. |
1 | | Chasing Victory Fiends
This album rocks. I was browsing a review for it and I decided to listen to it, as it had been in my library for like 2 weeks or so. I liked one song, then another, and another, and now I basically like every song on the album. One of my favorite albums right now. |
2 | | The Dear Hunter The Meaning of, and All Things Regarding Ms. Leading
I just started listening to The Dear Hunter, and I really like their sound. I know Act III is close to release (tomorrow actually), so I wanted to listen to these guys before their latest effort. I never listened to TREOS, but if they sound like The Dear Hunter, I'll be willing to do just that. |
3 | | Envy on the Coast Lucy Gray
After hearing "Sugar Skulls," this album had me hooked. I've listened to this album so many times lately, and I really like the lead singer's voice. Its so powerful and loud. I just wish more songs on the album could be more like Sugar Skulls though. |
4 | | Gatsbys American Dream Volcano
Great album. GAD has so many catchy chorus's, and this album was my first time hearing them. I really want to go back and listen to their earlier material. |
5 | | House of Heroes The End is Not the End
Another great album. "Code Name: Raven" is probably one of my favorite songs right now. I had listened to these guys on the radio before and liked them, but I just started to listen to the whole album, and it rocks. |
6 | | Ivoryline There Came a Lion
After hearing these guys on the radio as well, I decided to check out this album, and it doesn't disappoint. I REALLY like "Days End." |
7 | | Lost Ocean Lost Ocean
I'm actually listening to this album right now. It's so calming to listen to, and I'm just really liking this album lately. These guys really aren't that well known, so check em out. |
8 | | LoveHateHero White Lies
Their first was a solid album, but with a new guitarist White Lies completely rocks. They have a nice sound with catchy chorus's, but the guitar solos in almost every song went with each song perfectly. Just give any song on the album for a spin and it will probably have a guitar solo in it, and an awesome one at that. |
9 | | The Outline You Smash It, We'll Build Around It
After hearing "Shotgun," I thought these guys were just gonna have one good song, but I was so wrong. There are so many great songs on this album, and I love the lead singers voice, just like EOTC. (I'm not really sure about the song "Broadway and Hurst" though) |
10 | | Parkway Drive Horizons
These guys have great guitarists, and its always nice to hear some technical guitar in metalcore. See beginning of "Breaking Point." Great album, for real though. |
11 | | Sanctus Real We Need Each Other
"Turn on the Lights" got me hooked. That song rocks, and so does the rest of the album. |
12 | | So Many Dynamos The Loud Wars
I love it when indie bands have nice guitar riffs in their songs, and this album is full of them. Every song has a distinct sound to it, and I love picking out a song to hear a specific part because it sounds so cool. |
13 | | This Town Needs Guns Animals
Another indie band with technical guitar. I still don't understand the intro to "Baboon" at all. I really like their sound though. |
14 | | Thrice Vheissu
Somehow, just somehow, I haven't listened to this album since recently. I've been getting into Thrice A LOT lately, and this is their best IMO. Each song is so great, and the album as a whole is epic. One of my favorite albums right now. |
15 | | The Wedding The Sound, The Steel
With only 5 songs, this is a very strong EP. I love this guy's voice and the band creates some unique parts in some songs. The gang vocals are fun too. |
