TheSpirit's Black Metal Labels - FALLOW FIELD

Another ongoing list series in which I list my favorite black metal (or labels whose majority output is black metal) labels, and my top 5-10 favorite releases by them (depending on how lazy I am feeling at the moment.) The first label up is Fallow Field. Based in the US, this label is notoriously hard to find any information on, but it doesn't really matter in the face of their impressive discography.
1Carved Cross
Futile Reflections of a Failed Existence

Carved Cross are one of my favorite raw black metal bands, and their sole full-length is an inspiring exhibition of complete and total misanthropy. It does absolutely everything to alienate the listener, from extreme repetition, extremely song lengths, and some of the most horrid production you probably wish you never heard. Fantastic.
2Noctivago
III

The third demo by this unknown San Paulo band, III is the lowest-fi you can find black/doom metal. At first it's truly excruciating to try and decipher what exactly is going on, but once you sit back and let it all wash over you, you're treated to an excellent experience. III exudes this euphoric aura that makes it a pleasure to revisit again and again.
3Fields of Mildew
Fields of Mildew

Not black metal by any stretch of the imagination, Fields of Mildew is a minimalist neofolk project that thrives in it's overwhelming sense of apocalyptic melancholy. Each song is only guitar and vocals, but it brilliant stuff.
4Vacuus
II

Noisy, obnoxious blackened punk filth. The music ranges from blistering tempos to a slower hardcore stomps within a moments notice, and both are equally destructive and equally awesome.
5Ride at Dawn
Demo II

Excellent punkish black metal, with the accentuation definitely on the former. It's dirty, it's filthy, but there's always a groove you can nod your head to.
