FearThyEvil: Want to Really Get Into Death Metal/Black Metal

FearThyEvil 08.21.18	Feel free to rec me any must-hears in the genres and some under-appreciated stuff too. I'm still a scrub at remembering a lot of the classic stuff of the genre so I'm dedicating quite a lot of my music listening time to get acquainted with a bunch of these types of artists and pulling back on new releases unless I really know the band or it's getting a lot of buzz. New releases will keep coming but classics will remain for good. There's just too much music out there and I don't want to constantly get hung up on all the new shit when some truly exceptional music has been out already.

Funeralopolis 08.21.18	check out some melodic death metal bands, it is similiar to death metal but much easier to get into such as In Flames early albums (their new stuff is trash) and Dark Tranquillity.

Slinkinlip 08.21.18	Mol’s new album Jord. Along the lines of Deafheaven Some good melodic death/black metal for me is Sojourner, Imperium Dekadenz, Wintersun to name a few. The new Skeletonwitch is awesome and pretty accessible despite being darker for them

dbizzles 08.21.18	DM: Pestilence - Consuming Impulse Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness Brutality - Screams of Anguish BM: Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane Drudkh - Autumn Aurora Dawn - Slaughtersun All of the dm recs are classics that I have rated highly (Pestilence and Morbid Angel 5/5) and the bm recs are albums I love that are melodic enough to help you get more into the genre, I believe.
