Some Dubstep

Twenty excellent dubstep albums. Not a lot of dubstep fans on this rsite, mostly because a lot of rpeople don't realize that there is life rafter whomp.
1burial
Untrue

Very popular on this site and for good reason, burial creates dark and dirty
atmospheres on every track. One of the few classics in the genre.
2Clubroot
II - MMX

Some of the most atmospheric dubstep ever. Beautiful tracks that take to to
new and undiscovered places.
3DAL
EP

An ep released this year by fairly unknown artist. This is definitely a whomp
style album, but I find it very enjoyable. Sounds like Skrillex to be quite honest,
but each track contains great melodies and ambiance before the drops bust
your face in.
4Distance
My Demons

Groovy as hell, dark and ominous.
5Ital Tek
Midnight Colour

One of those 4.5 albums that is so close to a 5 for me. Psychedelic and
sensual tracks that take you to distant planets and through nebulae of
flickering sounds and pulses.
6James Blake
James Blake

If you looking for dubstep with soul then look no further. The young James
Blake drops a album worthy of all its praise with his self titled debut. One of
the most original takes on the genre yet.
7Jazzsteppa
Hyper Nomads

Great music for a party. Funky, whompy, and jazzy with little hints of trip
thrown in.
8 Kryptic Minds
Can`t Sleep

Kryptic Minds really steps up his game on his second full length, offering
another dark dubstep album that takes you to cold alleys and dark city limits.
9Mimosa
Silver Lining

Best whomp album ever made in my opinion. Mimosa finds the perfect blend of
earth shaking bass and trip-hop elements to create something that will not
soon be forgotten.
10Mount Kimbie
Crooks & Lovers

Dubstep for indie lovers, this album hits you with a wall of sound and layers from a
different dimension. Abstract swells of static and trancy pulses combine with
smooth samples and subtle bass to create a perfect album to get lost to.
Carbonation is the most memorable song on the album, mostly due to its perfect representation of what a
cold
beer on the beach actually feels like.
11Phaeleh
Fallen Light

Would probably take the award for most beautiful dubstep album. The songs
featuring Soundmouse are stunning and the rest of the tracks all offer
something unique. Listening to this album while driving and watching the
sunrise is something i'll never forget.
12Submotion Orchestra
Finest Hour

A serious contender for album of the year 2011, Submotion Orchestra blow
away the foundation of everything you once though dubstep was, creating a
musical masterpiece in the process. An amazing clash of lounge, jazz, dub and
dubstep; this album really combines every relaxing aspect of music into one
entity. Beautiful vocal lines soar and echo over layered keyboards and synths,
while wobbling bass and jazzy trumpet solos enter in the most essential points
of the album.
13Swarms
Old Raves End

This album is really about atmosphere. Every echo and nostalgic vocal sample
is perfectly utilized and layered. It's really hard to put this album into words,
unless you're Deviant, so it's up to you to hear this album to understand what
has been created here.
14Starkey
Ephemeral Exhibits

Some really trippy dubstep. Jumpy and spastic.
15Zomby
Dedication

Production on this is absolutely amazing. Nice short tracks that get the point
across nicely and groove for just the right amount of time.
1616Bit
Chainsaw Calligraphy The Remixes

An album full of remixes, but so essential if you enjoy the genre. Every song
cuts through your ear-buds. Nice chainsaw revs are thrown in too.
17Actress
Hazyville

Hazy and difficult to interpret.
18Bassnectar
Cozza Frenzy

Haha hate me for this.
19 Gil Scott-Heron and Jamie XX
We`re New Here

Subtle and shakey beats with spoken words from Gil Scott-Heron on top.
Really cool stuff.
20Eleven Tigers
Clouds are Mountains

Pretty face paced step. Trance plucks galore.
