Monday, November 16th Legendary British synth-pop duo the Pet Shop Boys have recorded a cover of Coldplay and Joe Satriani's 2008 collaboration 'Viva La Vida,' and the track has found its way to the internet via a series of tubes.
The cover, a mash-up of the Pet Shop Boys' 1988 hit 'Domino Dancing' and 'Viva La Vida,' has been performed regularly on the duo's recent 'Pandemonium' tour. It will feature on the forthcoming Christmas EP alongside a version of Madness' 'My Girl' and remixes of their own 'All Over The World' and their late ’90s holiday tune 'It Doesn’t Often Snow At Christmas.'

It was the singer's first large-scale tour since 1976, and his conversion to Islam, and for the first hour or so the audience response was overwhelmingly positive, as he took the stage first with 1970s cohort Alun Davies and later a full, six-piece band.
Later, however, things began to unravel, as he unveiled a live preview performance of Moonshadow, an upcoming West End musical based on his own music, starring ex-Hear'Say vocalist Noel Sullivan in the lead role.
Demanding fans, who had paid upwards of €80 ($100) for the privilege of seeing the veteran songwriter perform, appeared to be mystified and even angered by the turn of events - though the musical theatre portion of the show had been clearly demarcated on tour adverti ...more

Monday, November 9th Politicians in three separate Australian states have called for new legislation to be introduced after it was discovered Britney Spears had lip-synced at a concert in the Land Down Under.
The legislative hubbub came about as a result of Spears' performance in Perth, Western Australia, which she visited on Friday as part of her Circus world tour. An estimated 100 confused fans left the venue mid-concert, angered by the low standard of performance and lack of live singing.
Politicians in the states of Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales have weighed into the issue, calling for new laws requiring concert promoters to disclose whether the artist would be singing live or lip-syncing.
As per usual, it was left to fellow pop star John Mayer, also currently on tour in Australia, to restore some sense of rationality to the debate. He tweeted: "If you're shocked that Britney was lip-syncing at her concert and want your money back, lif ...more Cobra Starship has posted a new video for the song 'Hot Mess' off the album of the same name.

Tuesday, November 3rd Gossip blog Holy Moly reports that the original line-up of the Sugababes are to reform.
Following the sacking of final founder member Keisha Buchanan last month, all three original members are now unattached. Many dared to suggest that the three original babes - completed by Siobhan Donaghy (left 2001) and Mutya Buena (left 2005) - would reform, but it appears the rumours have now reached fruition.
The three girls are reportedly in talks with a label (believed to be Warner Bros) and a producer (thought to be either William Orbit or Stuart Price) with a view to recording new material in the near future. Warner has also reportedly offered the three girls solo deals as a sweetener.
Presumably the reformed group will have no claim on the title "Sugababes," but whatever they do choose surely cannot be any worse "Get Sexy."

The coroner has reportedly cited a "combination of lethal drugs," including the anesthetic propofol and the sedatives lorazepam and midazolam. Court documents, unsealed on Monday, filed by police in Nevada and Texas courts in July, reveal that Jackson's personal doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, is the target of a manslaughter investigation.
Murray told detectives he had been treating Jackson for six weeks with propofol and had become worried that the pop icon was developing an addiction.
The doctor weaned Jackson off the medication with the sedatives lorazepam and midazolum, but was forced to respond to his employer's "repeated demands/requests" for the anesthetic on the night of his death. Jackson is believed to have referred to the powerful anesthetic as his "milk."
