New Cassino Album Details 2009-11-10 by Iamthe Nightstars | 7 Comments | Cassino updated their myspace with information about their 2nd upcoming album, Kingprince. Nick posted a blog about it. It will have 12 songs and be released December 9th, 2009.
Message from Nick:
"Sorry for lack of updates on the progress of the record. We’ve had a couple setbacks as far as mixing goes, but have hit a stride now. It has taken a long time, I know, but when it seems like you are starting from scratch, don’t have a lot of money, and are trying to get things done yourself it seems to take a little longer. Enough of excuses and I’ll get to the album. It’s going to be about 12 songs....entitled “Kingprince”... here’s the song titles in no particular order (We have yet to sequence the thing)-

-Maddie Bloom
-The River
-Amelia
-The Levee
-Kingprince
-Ghost
-The Ice Factory
- D’jom
-Debrickashaw
-Boomerang
I am really excited about these songs. They are really fun to play. Since we recorded it ourselves, It doesn’t really match up sonically with anything else we’ve done. (don’t know if thats a good thing or bad thing)..I can’t really describe the sound of the music either. I guess it’s more “rural” than previous endeavors (since we used a lot of traditional instruments). I guess that description will do for now. We will have to wait until an “album reviewer” calls it a complete piece of garbage and we can get some more adjectives. We should have something up to listen to in a couple weeks. Once again, sorry for the lack of updates and all that."
