Really dont like the show, but this sounds like it has potential.

Never heard the band, but that sounds pretty cool. American Dad isn't as funny as Family Guy overall, but there are a few episodes that are absolutely hilarious

American Dad is a better spinoff than The Cleveland Show. But both still fall far short of Family Guy.

American Dad is a very witty, well written show with great characters and gags.
Family Guy feels like it is written by 12 year olds now, and most of the jokes are offensive for the sake of being offensive, instead of being geniunly funny. Hell, I find myself enjoying The Cleveland Show more than Family Guy...

American Dad isn't a spinoff.

it's family guy with the cia. maybe not a 'true' spinoff but... okay mat groening goes from 'the simpsons' to 'futurama' and mike judge from 'beavis and butthead' to 'king of the hill'. while the shows certainly share some things with the shows that preceded them, they are different projects with different ideas, and purposes.

'american dad' uses the same humor and art style as fg just w/ sort of different charecters.

futurama and simpsons characters and base plot differs drastically from one another, and as does beavis & butthead and king of the hill.

american dad and family guy both share more similarities in regards to the basic plot and characters

Show is copypasta family guy, macfarlane really needs to stop with the whole, 1 sub-par show/2 shit shows routine and put all the good jokes into one show, Family Guy preferably.
