Pretty crappy picture, threw it up in a hurry when I found these guys weren't in the database, will change later.
This is definitely some sad news, and pretty damn surprising as well.
Rest in Peace.
| | | never heard of these guys but damn, lung cancer? that sucks
RIP
uncle died from lung cancer
| | | it's weird that you mention it, cause my uncle is alive with lung cancer
RIP dude

RIP
| | | Canadians might remember them for "Can't Stop", the whole "I can't stop lovin' you girl...." (i dunno if that'll ring a bell, can't remember the rest, just the tune) but I don't think they've had much success outside Canada
| | | Lung cancer, that must be a terrible way to die. RIP
| | | He was only 39, that's way too young to go... RIP
According to" Canoe" proceeds from the sales of his new disc will go to his family trust fund.

| | | Dude was also in a coma for like 6 months last year (from an unrelated, near-fatal scooter accident -- you read that right, a scooter accident). When he finally recovered from that, he was diagnosed with lung cancer.
As an aside: I'll always remember that "Can't Stop/Fill me In" song that dominated MuchMusic for what seemed like a year. In retrospect it was definitely one of the most tolerable Canadian-content (see: shitty Canadian knock-offs of popular American artists/bands) songs they've ever latched onto and promoted as "Canada's Next Big Thing."
Alas, RIP
| | | Ahh there's someone who remembers this, and yeah the accident, glad someone pointed that out...just terrible terrible stuff. Left some good music though
And yeah that thing seemed like an anthem for radio and Much for about a year or so forsure
| | | wow a coma for 6 months and then gets diagnosed with lung cancer? what a terrible last year....never heard of these guys but still sad, nonetheless
RIP

| | | Yeah, they were kinda popular earlier in the decade in Canada, I heard about this on TV today, kinda sad.
