In before someone else asks 'cashing in and want to be closer to their fans', this sounds rather pretentious but is there a possibility that this is misquoted?
| |
wow didnt expect them to be recording so soon.
| |
in an abandoned London church?
thats sort of weird......
| |
Sets the mood.
Brian Eno being in on this will make it better.
| |
i guess that makes sense......
sorta........
| |
actually,
they should burn down the church and make a black metal album.....
| |
ooooooh....dumb
| |
Excellent! Can't wait.
| |
Wait- I thought they were doing rave?
Whatever. As long as we don't get another X&Y.
| |
gonna rule
| |
nect year
| |
sounds badass. in a chill, loving kind of way.
| |
Not a big fan, but this potentially could be sweet
| |
this should be could. Brian Eno rarely disappoints.
| |
Meh if it isn't anything like their two best abums, then I don't want any of it.
| |
I like arena rock Coldplay.
| |
fuuuuuuuuuuuu
| |
*puts balls in Chris Martin's mouth*
| |
bonus track- billie jean cover
| |
Sounds pretty rad. Something in the vein of Parachutes would be perfect.
| |
2010 is lookin good, possible radiohead+coldplay releases
| |
how bout a new brian eno release in 2010?
| |
When I read "strip down" I was expecting a raw hardcore affair...
| |
This worries me a bit.
| |
why is that?
because if "stripped down" means they will sound like their first album, i'm all for it.
| |
Viva La Vida was their best and although Parachutes also ruled, they already tried recreating that album. Twice.
| |
you mean with XY and Rush? XY was pretty bad but i liked Rush too.
| |
Don't get me wrong, they were both good albums - but we don't need to go back to that sound.
| |
you're definitely right about that
| |
sounds pretty cool
| |
Should strip it right out of existence
| |
they are trying to be thrice
| |
Hmm, not sure how I feel about this. One of the reasons that Viva la Vida is their best album is that
it is so over the top and theatric. The so-called arena rock sound came out really good on that
album. I hope they don't regress to their "Chris Martin Solo Project" kind of sound with this new
outlook. It will still probably rule though.
| |
This will suck tbh.
| |
acoustic balls
| |
true
| |
They should strip it down to nothing.
| |
Brian Eno being in on this will make it better.
he was in on their last one too
| |
...and it was better than anything Coldplay had even done before
so
| |
^ hell no. Viva la Vida was the most overblown piece of shit I listened to last year. thank god they're doing a less hefty recording the next time around.
But honestly I don't think the phrase 'stripped down' applies to anything done by a modern Eno.
| |
New Shitty Coldplay > Old Shitty Coldplay (minus a few standouts)
| |
their newest album was better though...
| |
hope this as good as VLV and not as sucky as the bland piano rock they used to churn out
| |
Well everyone on Sputnik said Viva La Vida was going to suck two years ago, too. Just goes to show...
| |
if they take the creative processes from VLV and mix it with their old sound...
well, it'll be amazing.
| |
Could be interesting, I was getting kinda tired of their arena rock sound. On the other hand, I'm not sure the approach would work as well for them as they would like. We'll see.
| |
maybe they'll take a pulk/pull revolving doors and hunting bears direction
| |
Good old BrAIn Eno. I hope this means more songs like Yellow and God Put a Smile on Your Face
