Scorpions Call It Quits

2010-01-24 by mfwf09 | 37 Comments
German hard rock legends The Scorpions are to call it a day.

The band plan to disband at the conclusion of their multi-year world tour, as announced via their official website: "While we were working on our album these past few months, we could literally feel how powerful and creative our work was – and how much fun we were still having, in the process.

"But there was also something else: We want to end the Scorpion’s extraordinary career on a high note."

The Scorpions' last album Sting In The Tail will be released on March 19.

Everything after the two posts above mine are going to pale in comparison. Seriously, even this post is a shadow.

That said, unexpected but inevitable.

I bet you've heard Wind of Change. These guys made a couple of great songs, although cheesy.

Living in the upper midwest, there is a cavalcade of hair bands that play around here at festivals, etc. This is one of the few I haven't seen live, a shame as they were arguably the best band of the era.

I guess they might not fit the description hair band by appearance, but they do by sound.
