Cello Finnish metaller's Apocalyptica will release their seventh studio album 7th Symphony on August 23, 2010 in Europe and the following day for the US. The band has stayed with the tradition of having four tracks with featured vocalists; Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Brent Smith (Shinedown), Lacey Sturm (Flyleaf), and Joe Duplantier (Gojira). They also recorded with Dave Lombardo (Slayer) for a guest spot on the drums for one of the tracks.

The albums first single "End of Me" is currently circulating the radio waves, and a video has been posted on the bands myspace - http://www.myspace.com/apocalyptica

The track listing is as a follows:

1. "At the Gates of Manala"
2. "End of Me" (ft. Gavin Rossdale of Bush)
3. "Not Strong Enough" (ft. Brent Smith of Shinedown)
4. "2010" (ft. Dave Lombardo)
5. "Through Paris In A Sportscar"
6. "Beautiful"
7. "Broken Pieces" (ft. Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf)
8. "On the Rooftop With Quasimodo"

Hooray, more boring radio rock with a cello gimmick...

Already posted this but you got the artwork but still.

And also Hyperion, their instrumental works are terrific, including their Metallica covers. people give this band too much shit for their guest vocalists.

Also, sup Kid Buu.

Their best effort was Reflections, that has some really awesome songs on it.

Reflections is their best because it was the last album before they started using vocalists and aiming for a radio hit.

@anotherdeadjuliet

None of their stuff was even noticed until they started pulling people from other bands. I miss when they didn't just play underlying parts to a guest singer. :/

I don't know... the self-titled had Farewell and Ruska... both ace. They need to avoid bands like Three Days Grace and Shinedown though, or at least not conform their music to fit those vocalists' bands' music.

Yeah! The band has four cellos in it, yet they seem to play one bass part with a guest singer.

@ Balls I know, i own their first three albums, they're still a good listen. The distortion cello gimmick turned radio-rock killed it for me though.
