Alright well, im excited and relieved. all three songs slay, except the chorus to Year Of The Rat. Green Carnation guy was a great pickup and Mariangela gels perfectly.

Never really heard this band but I am a big fan of female fronted metal bands...who would you compare them to Balls?

Not sure, they were pretty much one of the original bands of the style. Tristania's early sound was melodic death/doom, then they got more blackened with more operatic vocals, choirs, and then they mellowed out a bit, adding baritone male vocals, and more traditional female vocals along with slower tempos. All thee periods are great my favorite album being the 2000 Beyond The Veil.

I still listen to my old Nightwish albums sometimes, so i may have to check this out.

Sounds like Rubicon might end up being the most awesome Tristania album since Widow's Weeds. I'm definitely going to be getting it.
